
Bollywood actor Anupam Kher had a startling start to this week as he got the news of his picture printed on Rs 500 currency notes.
On Monday, the actor reacted to the shocking news of a fake currency seizure in Ahmedabad, featuring his photo on the notes instead of Mahatma Gandhi.
Expressing his shock, the actor shared a video of a news channel report about the fake notes.
He wrote in the caption, ''My photo instead of Gandhi's photo on the note of five hundred???? Anything can happen! 😳😳😳.''

Counterfeit currency notes were discovered in Gujarat after a bullion firm owner, Mehul Thakkar, was duped ofapproximately Rs 1.6 crore. A case has been registered, and Ahmedabad police are currently investigating the case.
Thakkar has reportedly told the police that two individuals contacted him for buying 2,100 gm of gold.
As per Indian Express, Mahul, the owner of the bullion firm, sent his employees to deliver the gold and collect the cash in Navrangpura, Ahmedabad.
The employee delivered the gold, and in return, the fraudsters gave them a plastic bag full of cash. Theytook the gold, saying they wouldcome back with the remaining Rs 30 lakh. However, they never returned.

On checking the money in bag, the employees discovered the counterfeit notes with the photo of Anupam Kher on them.
Police inspector A A Desai told The Indian Express, “The accused set a plot to dupe the bullion firm. Even the courier firm where the delivery of gold happened was a fake one without any registered rent agreement. They had taken the shop on rent and put a fake board of the courier firm there while promising the landlord to sign the rent agreement in a day or two. The currency notes they delivered were fake with pictures of Anupam Kher.”
Videos of the fake note have gone viral on the internet.
