Actress Mindy Kaling made the audience laugh with her wit and humour on the third night of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) 2024. During her speech, The Office star recalled cooking dosas with United StatesVice President andDemocratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, gave a shout-out to her home state Massachusetts, and even mentioned actor Ben Affleck, as she took a jibe at his high-profile divorce with Jennifer Lopez.

A day after Lopez filed for divorce from her husband of two years Ben Affleck, Kaling didn't forget to mention the most-discussed topic on the internet;Ben and Jennifer's divorce.
While sending love to her home state Massachusetts during her speech at the United Center in Chicago on Wednesday night, Kaling mentioned the Batman actor and his divorce in a quirky way.

“I couldn’t leave here without giving a shoutout to the amazing delegation from my home state, Massachusetts. I love you, Massachusetts!” the 45-year-old star said in her speech.
“Everyone is always hating on us! But they just don’t get it! Go [Boston Red] Sox! Go Jason Tatum! Ben Affleck, hang in there!” she said.
Mentioning Affleck's decades-long obsession with Dunkin' Donuts, she quipped, “Dunkin’ Donuts is the best coffee in the world!''

Kaling’s soft remarks came one day after Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck, endingmonths-long separationspeculation.
According to a report in PEOPLE, Lopez filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Superior Court and listed April 26, 2024, as the date of separation.
The singer filed for divorce on August 20, which also marks the second anniversary of their wedding ceremony in Georgia.
After rekindling their romance in 2021, the former couple tied the knot in a hush-hush wedding in April 2022 in Las Vegas. Months later, Ben and Jennifer tied the knot again in a lavish ceremony in Georgia.
"She tried really hard to make things work, and is heartbroken," a source told PEOPLE of Lopez. “The kids are a top priority, as they always have been.''
