'Umpire didn't give him out...,' India skipper Rohit Sharma on Rishabh Pant being given out in third NZ Test

India skipper Rohit Sharma thinks Rishabh Pant was given out controversially in the second innings of the third Test against New Zealand on Sunday (Nov 3). India were 40 runs short of the target when Pant was given out as the seventh wicket and team went on to lose the match by 25 runs.
Pant was given bat-pad on Ajaz Patel's bowling. Initially, the on-field umpire gave it not out but New Zealand decided to review it and the third umpire overturned the decision.
"About that dismissal, I honestly, I don't know," Rohit opined after the match. "If we say something, it is not accepted well. But if there is not conclusive evidence, it has to stand with the umpire's on-field decision. That is what I have been told. So I don't know how that decision was overturned, since the umpire didn't give him out."
"The bat was clearly close to the pad. So, again, I don't know if it is the right thing for me to talk about. It is something for the umpires to think about. Have the same rules for every team, not keep changing their mind," he added.

India were rocked early in the chase of 147 but Rishabh Pant played another masterful innings of 64 runs in addition to his 60 runs in the first innings to get India on the cusp of win.
Pant's dismissal put the Kiwis on top and Ajaz Patel combined with Glenn Phillips to make sure India don't stage another comeback.
Patel finished the match with 11 wickets - his second 10-wicket haul in Mumbai in as many trips - as India were bundled out for 121 in their second innings.
The Kiwis only put cherry on top of their maiden Test series win against India by winning the third Test where India were bowled out for 121 in pursuit of a 147-run target.
