<p>New court documents released on Tuesday (May 20) revealed&nbsp;that, months before Donald Trump's indictment for mishandling classified documents, a federal judge found 'strong evidence' that the former US president&nbsp;'intended' to hide these documents&nbsp;in Mar-a-Lago, Florida.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Trump's attempt to have his classified documents case dismissed under the Presidential Records Act failed in&nbsp;April, and the case is currently&nbsp;in Fort Pierce, Florida.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The new court documents showed that Judge Beryl Howell also cited additional classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago, including a “mostly empty” folder marked “Classified Evening Summary” found in Trump’s bedroom.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Notably, no excuse is provided as to how the former president could miss the classified-marked documents found in his own bedroom at Mar-a-Lago,” Howell reportedly wrote in March 2023.</p>

<p>As per experts, what the pilots of the airlines meet with is called 'the invisible danger of the skies'- the clear air turbulence or CAT.</p>

<p>CAT is a very rare, but highly fatal phenomenon that is hard to gauge in advance and goes completely undetected by radar systems.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>What is clear air turbulence (CAT)?</strong></h2>

<p>Generally, fatalities caused by turbulence are incredibly rare on international flights. Pilots are usually able to give warnings in most cases of turbulence to ensure all passengers and crew members are buckled up.</p>

<p>However, when it comes to clear air turbulence, it is one of the most dangerous types.</p>

<p>Usually, any type of turbulence is caused due to the meeting of air at different temperatures, pressures or velocities.</p>

<p>During CAT, a turbulent movement of air masses takes place in the absence of any visual clues, such as clouds, and is caused when bodies of air moving at widely different speeds meet each other.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The atmospheric region most susceptible to CAT is the high troposphere at altitudes of around 7,000–12,000 metres (23,000–39,000 ft) as it meets the tropopause.</p>

<p>Here, CAT is most frequently encountered in the regions of jet streams. At lower altitudes, it may also occur near mountain ranges.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Is climate change causing more turbulence?</strong></h2>

<p>As per one study from the University of Reading, CATs have increased 55 per cent since 1976 over the North Atlantic and the main culprit for this is climate change.</p>

<p>Scientists at Reading University said their research showed that higher temperatures as a result of the climate crisis were leading to significant increases in turbulence across transatlantic flights.</p>

<p>The jet stream is sandwiched between the warm troposphere and the cool stratosphere, the increasing temperature differential means increasing wind shear.</p>

<p>While climate change is decreasing wind shear in the troposphere as temperature differentials decrease, the opposite is true for the lower stratosphere, which is where aeroplanes fly to avoid atmospheric drag.</p>

<p>An increase in carbon dioxide cools the stratosphere, and it does it in such a way that it increases vertical shear and cruising altitude tends to be in the stratosphere.</p>

<p>Thankfully, only 0.1 per cent of the atmosphere contains this extreme level of turbulence, but even the more frequently encountered light and moderate turbulence saw significant increases up to 17 per cent and 34 per cent respectively.</p>

<p>According to the local police, the attack took place on Tuesday (May 21) evening on Lake Zurich which is around 20 kilometres southeast of the biggest Swiss city.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“On Tuesday evening, a woman was attacked and fatally injured by a man in Mannedorf,” said Zurich cantonal police, adding that the woman had been out jogging.</p>

<p>The attack took place shortly before 8:00 pm (local time) and “passers-by reported a man in Alma Park who was running around naked, screaming and physically attacking other people,” said the police. &nbsp;</p>

<p>It added, “The emergency services who quickly arrived on site found a seriously injured woman lying on the ground.” However, despite “immediate resuscitation” the woman died due to her “serious injuries.”</p>

<p>A nearby resident told Swiss newspaper Blick that they saw the woman lying by the side of a lake. “It couldn’t be a swimming accident because the place isn’t easy to reach. It’s a narrow place that you can only get to via a narrow staircase.”</p>

<p>The Swiss police said that the alleged attacker also assaulted another woman, but she did not sustain life-threatening injuries.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Suspect under arrest</strong></h2>

<p>The police have arrested a suspected perpetrator who is said to be a 19-year-old Swiss man. According to media reports, the man attacked people at random before the police arrived.&nbsp;</p>

<p>An employee from the nearby Villa Alma retirement home told Swiss newspaper Tages-Anzeiger that the naked man ran around in circles as if in a trance and he also heard screams.</p>

<p>The Swiss police said that they are investigating the background of the attack and whether the perpetrator and the victim knew each other.</p>

<p>"The world will need to have some kind of joint understanding of what are the risks from these sort of most advanced general models," he said.</p>

<p>Michelle Donelan, UK Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, said in Seoul on Wednesday that "as the pace of AI development accelerates, we must match that speed... if we are to grip the risks."</p>

<p>She said there would be more opportunities at the next AI summit in France to "push the boundaries" in terms of testing and evaluating new technology.</p>

<p>"Simultaneously, we must turn our attention to risk mitigation outside these models, ensuring that society as a whole becomes resilient to the risks posed by AI," Donelan said.</p>
