The United States (US) Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is investigating a fatal outbreak of Listeria food poisoning, American media reported early Sunday (July 21). The Listeria bacteria has been blamed for two deaths and 28 hospitalisations across 12 states in the US. The CDC advised people who are pregnant, elderly, or have compromised immune systems to avoid eating sliced deli meat unless it’s recooked at home to be steaming hot. Citing health officials, a report by the news agency Associated Press said that the number of infections was likely an undercount because people who recover at home were not likely to be tested. For this same reason, the outbreak may have spread wider than the states where the bacteria's spread was reported. Largest number of cases in New York The largest number of Listeria cases have been reported in New York, the Associated Press report said. Of the people investigators managed to interview, 89 per cent reported eating meats sliced at a deli, most commonly deli-sliced turkey, liverwurst, and ham, the CDC said, adding, that these meats were sliced at a variety of supermarket and grocery store delis. Symptoms of Listeria Listeria typically causes fever, muscle aches, and tiredness and may cause stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance, and convulsions. These symptoms can occur quickly or for up to 10 weeks after eating contaminated food. The Mayo Clinic has said that the bacteria can be diagnosed by testing bodily fluids, usually blood, and sometimes urine or spinal fluid. Listeria is especially dangerous for people older than 65 and those with weakened immune systems, according to the CDC. The CDC has not yet made a food recall as it remained unclear what specific products have been contaminated with the bacteria. Gavin Dasaur was heading back home with his Mexican wife when he was shot dead after an argument at an intersection on Indy city's southeast side.

Dasaur was from Agra, India and had got married to&nbsp;Viviana ZaMora&nbsp;just two weeks back on June 29.

A video of the incident is making rounds on social media. The video shows Dasaur getting out of his car at the intersection and yelling at the driver of the pickup truck.

Dasaur then punched the truck's door while holding the gun. In response, the pickup truck driver shot him.&nbsp;

He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The victim's widow, Viviana ZaMora, told police, "I held him as he bled out while waiting for the ambulance."

Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is eyeing a two-third majority in the parliament as he prepares to take vote of confidence today.

Appointed as Prime Minister in mid-July this year, Oli will be tabling the trust motion in parliament during a meeting scheduled for 1 pm (local time) on Sunday.

According to the parliamentary meeting schedule made public by the Parliament Secretariat, PM Oli will be tabling the trust motion in parliament.

As per the parliamentary mathematics, Oli might secure two-third majority, provided the support extended to him during his appointment over the post continues.

The CPN-UML, led by Oli himself, has 78 seats, while the Nepali Congress, the main ally of the alliance, has 88 seats, the Janata Samajbadi Party has seven, and the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party has four seats in the parliament. All these parties are also on board the government, which Oli formed last Monday.

In addition, Oli is expected to secure votes from the Janata Samajbadi Party, which has 5 seats, the Janamat Party with 6 seats and the Nagarik Unmukti Party with 4 seats. The combined strength of all these parties is 192, eight seats more than the required two-thirds majority in the 275-seat hung parliament.

"All the lawmakers have been mandated to participate in today's vote of confidence. We have issued whips to all our party lawmakers in the lower house to vote in support of the Prime Minister as well as the Party Chair, KP Sharma Oli," Mahesh Bartaula, the chief whip of CPN-UML, said.

Oli, Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninists (CPN-UML), returned to power after striking a deal with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba on July 2, past midnight. The deal, which is yet to made public, stipulates that Oli will remain in power for two years and then handover to Deuba, as per the leaders from both the parties.

Those who have decided to vote against Oli are the CPN-Maoist Centre, the CPN-Unified Socialist Party, Rastriya Swatantra Party and the right-wing pro-monarch the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).

RPP in the floor test of former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal had voted against the trust motion on July 12. Conveying a parliamentary committee meeting on Saturday, the party decided to vote against the trust motion to-be-presented by Oli later on Sunday.

"Incumbent Prime Minister have comfortable majority in the parliament. The deal which was struck earlier this month hasn't been made public till now and both the major parties does not appear to be serious about revisiting the constitution. We can work on the constitution amendment but we won't be voting in favor of the trust motion in parliament," Rajendra Prasad Lingden, Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party told ANI over phone.

Moreove, RPP has 14 seats in the House.

Earlier, the Maoist Centre (32 seats), Rastriya Swatantra Party (21), and CPN-Unified Socialist (10) decided to vote against Oli in the motion.

The invasion led to the conquering of one-third of Cyprus and displacement of about 40 per cent of the population.
