A Sydney-based semi-retired businessman has been accused of poisoning his wife and has been charged with attempted murder, according to court documents.&nbsp;

Stephan Wagner, 61, allegedly spiked his wife’s tea with an ant poison. He appeared in Campbelltown Local Court on Wednesday, a day after he was arrested from his home at Lanark Place, St Andrews, in Sidney.

According to the police, his wife Glenda Wagner, 66, became severely ill after consuming tea prepared by Wagner. Police seized a bottle of insecticide, which was likely used in the tea found in the house for forensic examination.

He has been charged&nbsp;with a string of domestic violence-related offences, including causing poison to be taken with intent to murder, using poison to endanger life, and using poison to inflict grievous bodily harm.

Wagner will remain in custody during his trial. He is also ordered to stay at least a kilometre away from his wife's home and work. An Apprehended Violence Order (AVO) has been carried out by the police for his wife’s protection.

The "19th-century horned Naga human skull" originates from the Indian northeastern state of Nagaland. The auction of the skull had created a stir among the tribal community.

The Swan Fine Art auction house in Tetsworth, Oxfordshire, had listed more than 20 items involving human remains for a one-day sale on Wednesday.&nbsp;

The auction house was facing backlash for putting the horned skull up for auction. The Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR)&nbsp;had registered displeasure over it being put up for sale, calling it a dehumanising practice where Indigenous ancestral remains are sold for “curious collectors”.

Nagaland’s chief minister also took note of the matter and urged the Indian government to intervene and get it stopped.&nbsp;

"The auction highlights the impunity that descendants of European colonisers enjoy as they perpetuate a racist, colonial, and violent depiction of Naga people," the FNR said in a statement.

The collection was titled "The Curious Collector Sale".

A guide price of $4,581 (Rs 384,000) to $5,235 (Rs 439,000) was assigned to the horned skull.&nbsp;

19th-century horned Naga human skull pulled from UK auction after outrage

Ethel Kennedy, the widow of former US Attorney General Robert F Kennedy, suffered a stroke in her sleep on Thursday morning.&nbsp;

Her grandson, former Massachusetts Congressman Joseph Kennedy III shared the news of her health on X on Tuesday (Oct 7). According to her family, the 96-year-old Kennedy family matriarch is receiving treatment in the hospital.

<h2>Who is Ethel Kennedy?</h2>

Born on April 11, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois to George Skakel, a Protestant, who formed the Great Lakes Carbon Corporation with his co-workers. The family moved to Greenwich, Connecticut in 1936, where she was raised along with her six siblings.

During her education at Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart in September 1945, Ethel was introduced to Robert, who was dating her sister Patricia Skakel at the time. However, soon that relationship ended and Ethel and Robert started seeing each other.

Ethel campaigned for John F. Kennedy in 1946. She got married to Robert in June 1950 and had her first child, Kathleen, in 1951. The family moved to Washington, DC as Robert started working for the Department of Justice.

In 1955, in a tragic event,&nbsp;Ethel's&nbsp;parents were killed in a plane crash.

Ethel became interested in politics after Robert became the chief counsel to the Senate Select Committee. Soon, she joined the Kennedy family in the presidential campaign for John F. Kennedy, her brother-in-law, who became the president in 1960. Robert was appointed as the attorney general.

After John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963, Ethel campaigned for her husband who became the US Senate representing the state of New York. However, just after he won the California Democratic primary, he was assassinated in June 1968. Ethel gave birth to her 11th child, Rory, six months after the death of her husband and never remarried.

During the 1970s Ethel focused her time on public service and various social causes including the Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Project. Her son David died due to a drug overdose in 1984, and her other son Michael died in a skiing accident in 1997.

Ethel founded the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Centre, is co-chairperson of the Coalition of Gun Control, and is involved with other human rights organisations. In 2014, she was honoured with a Presidential Medal of Freedom by former President Barack Obama.

In the harrowing footage, the plane is seen shaking violently amid heavy turbulence.

The video tries to capture the side window view of the Lockheed WP-3D Orion aircraft “Miss Piggy” in which the aircraft is seen flying within an impenetrable grey sky as heavy rains pound it.

Shannon stated that such missions are important because their scientists “cannot get this important data our forecasters need at this scale and resolution any other way.”

“We basically take a weather station to the weather,” he said.

Inside the aircraft, the NOAA researchers remained calm and in good spirits amid the hurricane.

“The best analogy I’ve heard is it is like riding an old wooden roller coaster through a car wash,” said Shannon.

However, he accepted that flying an aeroplane into a hurricane is still a “dangerous undertaking. We do our best to mitigate that danger.”

Putin to meet Iran’s president in Turkmenistan for crucial talks on Middle East unrest

Haiti's transitional presidential council transferred the rotating presidency on Monday to architect Leslie Voltaire despite opposition from outgoing president Edgard Leblanc Fils, who refused to sign a decree ratifying the move.

Leblanc Fils had opposed the move citing unresolved corruption accusations against three other councillors who remain voting members and signed off on the transition.

"Under my presidency the transitional presidential council will consolidate its gains and structures to work with more efficiency and transparency," said Voltaire, who represents the party of former President Jean-Bertrand Aristide.

"Haitian people have enough of violence, of lies and of corruption," he said. "We must forget our personal interests and prioritise those of the nation."

The rift at the council creates fresh uncertainty in a country still reeling from the gang massacre of at least 70 people last week, with Prime Minister Garry Conille seeking security assistance abroad.

Haiti named the transition council in April after arduous negotiations between various sectors of the Caribbean nation's political and civil alliances. It was empowered with choosing a prime minister and wielding certain presidential powers until conditions were considered secure enough for a new election.
