'Secret device,' Netizens push conspiracy theories about Kamala Harris's earrings during debate

Following the first debate between US Democratic nominee Kamala Harris and her Republican rival Donald Trump on Tuesday, Vice President Harris has been under the limelight for the earrings she wore during the debate, leading to conspiracy theories by netizens.
Shortly after the debate, netizens flooded the social media platform X, with claims on Harris's earrings, saying that her earrings might have been a secret device used for assistance during her debate, comparing it to a similar earpiece featured in a tech article.
The Nova H1 Audio Earrings, created by German startup NOVA Products, are the "first and only wireless earphones embedded in a pair of pearl earrings on a goldor silver plated clip," the startup's page stated.
One of the netizens posted that Harris was being fed answers by using those earphones embedded in her earrings.
"It appears Kamala Harris was being coached by using earphones embedded in her earrings during the ABC presidential debate against President Trump,” one user wrote on X.

Another person posted, "I think Kamala did a great job tonight in the debate against Trump, who I think is a great orator and debater himself. But her earrings intrigued me a lot. Maybe because I got reminded of similar-looking ones from some tech article on an earphone that looks like earrings."
One of the users said that if Kamala sounded like Obama during the debate, "she probably did".
Meanwhile, some of the netizens said that her earrings might be Tiffany HardWear pearl earrings, highlighting the subtle design distinctions that differentiate them from the Nova H1 audio earrings.
One user said, "Quit lying to yourself. She's wearing Tiffany Hardwear pearl earrings."
Other people underscored that Harris has been seen wearing pearls as a nod to her affiliation with Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, adding that she had worn such earrings in previous public events too.

However, the companies whose names were dragged by netizens have not issued any statement on the matter.
