Man tries to scale 30-storey skyscraper without ropes, arrested

A Polish daredevil on Tuesday (June 11) got pulled down by firefighters and was arrested after he attempted to scale a 30-storey building in Buenos Aires, Argentina, without ropes and any other safety gear.

As spectators gazed in suspense, 36-year-old Marcin Banot – clad in an Argentine football jersey– had already ascended 25 stories of the Globant skyscraper when he was finally stopped.

Over 30 firemen, ambulances and police cars were dispatched to the scene after someone within the building contacted an emergency number.

He didn't fight attempts to remove him from the building.

Once forcefully brought down, Banot was taken into custody, authorities said. He may be ordered to pay the costs for the rescue operation, officials told AFP news agency.

Earlier in the United States, a man illegally attempted to scale the Las Vegas Sphere and was taken into custody.

Maison DesChamps, in his video shot atop the city’s iconic sphere, said that with the stunt, he aimed to raise money for homeless pregnant women.

Who is Marcin Banot?

Banot is a social media influencer and has hundreds of thousands of followers.Banot has previously carried out similar stunts in other nations as well.He is known for dangerous climbs on towering buildings, trees, rocks and more.

Last week, he attempted to climb the same building, but cops stopped him.
