About a month ahead of the United States presidential elections in 2024, Kamla Harris is set to make an appearance on "60 Minutes". Her wide-ranging interview will be streamed on Monday, where she will talk about her economic plans and the Russia-Ukraine war.

The Democratic nominees will be joined by correspondent Bill Whitaker on a campaign trail, Paramount announced in a press release on Friday. It will focus on "in-depth interviews" with Vice President Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. to "gain insight into their platform's priorities and values" and inform what voters should know before the elections.

Ahead of the interview, Scott Pelley, the “60 Minutes” journalist reveals their attempt to invite Republican candidate, former President Donal Trump and Sen. JD Vance for the election special.

According to CBS, Trump had previously agreed to participate in the show but later decided not to. Instead, Pelley will be interviewing Maricopa County’s recorder Stephen Richer, a Republican who was “paying the price for Trump’s claims of a stolen 2020 election,” Pelley said.
