Facebook is rolling out a new feature call "Did You Know" for user profile on the web and apps.
The feature appears on a user's profile and asks random questions about guilty pleasures, superheroes, hobbies, interests, like "if Icould beanywhere else right now I'd be?", or more personal question like " the scar,I have with the best story is..".
Later the information gets shared on your profile in a fun manner, a user can either share it for all to see or with "only me" setting.
Many tech experts are looking at this feature as a way of extracting user information that related to interests, hobbies, and personality and may one day become a part of advertiser profile.
The feature is based on an app called "tbh" on apple store which was acquired by Facebook in October.
The "tbh" app lets teenagers anonymously answer kind-hearted, multiple choice questions about friends but facebook asks more about a user than their friends.
By October "tbh'' had over 205 million daily active users and 5 million downloads.
"Did You Know" feature has been rolled out to users from December 5 and to use this feature a user can either access it from clicking on their personal profile and tap on Did You Know section or you can just click on 'Try it' section on your friend's post.
So far users are liking this feature and having fun with it.
