Consumer humanoid robots like the 1X NEO and Weave Isaac arrive in late 2026, offering subscription models for domestic chores. Tesla's Optimus targets a late 2027 release, though analysts expect broad public availability by 2028 or 2029.

When will you be able to buy a robot that does your housework?

Humanoid robots excel in structured factories but struggle with unpredictable environments and human emotion. Skilled trades like plumbing, healthcare, teaching, and strategic leadership remain completely safe due to the limits of physical AI.

Semiconductor factories use flawless robots to move batches of silicon wafers through hundreds of complex steps. This automation eliminates human error and microscopic contamination, ensuring high production yields and preventing massive financial losses.

'Godfather of AI' warns of dangers of AI

The pioneer of artificial intelligence technology quit Google. He said he wants to speak freely about tech's dangers.

He realised that computers could become smarter than people far sooner than he and other experts had expected.

Hinton said, "Look at how it was five years ago and how it is now. Take the difference and propagate it forwards. That's scary."

He said tech giants pushing companies to release new AI technologies at dangerous speeds, risking jobs and spreading misinformation.

Hinton believes that these systems were eclipsing human intelligence.

Other experts have also warned against AI, the hottest tech trend at the moment.

He also issues warning over the potential spread of misinformation created by AI.

5 Amazing Facts about SpaceX’s Starship Rocket

Elon Musk’s SpaceX will attempt to launch the most powerful spacecraft ever built by humans Monday morning in US. Here are key facts about the launch vehicle.

First step towards interplanetary flights

According to SpaceX, Starship is capable of carrying up to 100 passengers on long interplanetary trips. It can transport big space observatories and satellites, as well as aid in building bases on the moon for further space exploration.

Starship is designed in a way to facilitate travel to anywhere in the world in one hour or less, according to SpaceX. The 394 feet tall mammoth rocket can transport crew as well as cargo.

The spacecraft is powered by 33 Raptor engines; 13 in the centre and the rest 20 distributed around the booster's aft end.

The powerful engine of Starship is fueled by liquid methane and liquid oxygen. It produces twice the thrust when compared to the Falcon 9 Merlin engine.

Starship will facilitate the Dear Moon project, under which a week-long tour around the Moon by Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa and other artists will be arranged.  NASA might also use this for future Artemis 3 missions.

7 facts about the world's first floating city

The project "Oceanix Busan" is still under construction off the shores of the Korean port city of Busan. Its design was unveiled last year.

Biorock will be used to make platforms. Biorock is the only marine construction material that can grow, heal itself, and get stronger over time.

15.5 acres of platform space with accommodation for 12,000 people is available as per the original Oceanix blueprint. But, it has the capacity to expand to support 100,000 people over a total of 20 platforms.

Nothing will be wasted at Oceanix Busan. Closed-loop systems will be used in the project to (re)harvest, filter, and reuse water.

Ordinary cars and trains won't be used here. Instead, aquatic buses will be deployed. Movement on foot and bikes will also be allowed

UN Human Settlements Programme, Bjarke Ingels Group, Samsung subsidiary Samoo Architects and Engineers and Arup have joined hands to realise the dream of floating city

The co-founder of Oceanix claimed that Biorock technology can be powered by locally generated energy from the sun, winds, waves, and ocean currents.

World's first floating city is soon going to become a reality. The city will produce zero waste and will be 100% energy sufficient.
