A woman has stirred a storm on social media platform X after claiming that playing video games is the most unattractive hobby a man can have. Liz Wheeler made the comment on Monday in response to a graph titled “Least Attractive Hobbies for Men According To Women.”
Wheeler replied with “This is 100% true" on the post which has now raked up more than 18 million views. It has also left the internet divided, with some people agreeing with Wheeler, and others calling her "100 per cent incorrect".
The graph has no scientific backing and no research and was likely made as a joke by the creator. It placed "playing video games" on top of the list of least attractive hobbies, ahead of collecting figurines, building model trains and comic books.
“Men playing video games is peak unattractive,” Wheeler added. “Beyond red flag. Like dealbreaker zone. It’s weird that so many dudes don’t get this.”
This is 💯 true. Men playing video games is peak unattractive. Beyond red flag. Like dealbreaker zone. It’s weird that so many dudes don’t get this. pic.twitter.com/nJcNiVPr8T — Liz Wheeler (@Liz_Wheeler) August 20, 2024
Many X users didn't agree with her and posted their disagreement in the comments. A bunch of angry men gave their opinion on the post. “That’s fine. We’d rather play video games than deal with modern women,” one of them wrote.

“Women like you assume your company is more interesting and valuable than a good video game. You are incorrect,” another user stated.
Several women also backed the men who played video games, saying that it is not unattractive. “Nah, video games are cool,” one of the women said.
However, some women agreed with Wheeler. One of them wrote, “I keep trying to tell them and they just get so mad at me." Another called Wheeler and the graph “accurate.”
Despite facing backlash for her opinion, Wheeler did not back down. She later posted a video on YouTube, calling out men who play video games a lot.
“Video games, even if you like them, shouldn’t be your identity.”
She added that if her comments have "shanked your identity", then she is not to be blamed. "That’s on you, because part of your identity is with video games,” she stated.
“An observation of human nature, a cultural observation, that women just don’t like when men play video games. We just don’t find it attractive,” Wheelerdeclared. “That’s just an objective observation.”
