A dramatic video emerged of a small aeroplane crashing in the front lawn of a house in Utah. In the scary incident, the house suffered damages and the two people on board were injured.

On the front lawn of the house, which belonged to Anthony Baugh, the twin-engine Piper PA-34 suddenly crashed just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday (July 24).

The home was located in a residential neighbourhood in Roy, which is close to the Ogden-Hinckley Airport.

Baugh's wife, who was at home with the children, made a panic call to her husband and narrated to him what had happened in their lawn while he was away at work.

He then checked the footage of the aeroplane crash which was recorded in the home's security camera through his phone. In the video, a white aircraft was seen skidding and grinding to a halt just before the front yard as the debris from the crash spread on the grass.

“It immediately left me in a panic trying to get home as fast as I could,” hesaid while speaking to Fox 13.

How did the family react to the aeroplane crashing on their lawn?

When the aeroplane crashed, Baugh's wife ran towards the lawn and tried to help the two people on board, which were the pilot and a passenger. The two of them suffered minor injuries and appeared to be “in shock.”

She “tried to offer them water, they said because they were in shock that they couldn’t get any water or anything right now, but she came out and she saw the gentleman had a cut on his eye or above it on his head and then the young lady just looked like she was in shock,” Baugh said.

As per the Roy City Fire & Rescue, their home suffered damages along with some trees in the area. No one else suffered injuries other than those who were aboard the plane.

Speaking to Fox 13, neighbour Pat Bouwhuis said that she “thought a house had exploded” when the plane crashed.

“I came out front and I saw the aeroplane over in the driveway two doors down," she added.

The woman said that she has been living in the same area for 62 years and has never seen anything like a plane crashing on some house.

The family of Baugh was shaken by the crash as they had “some family members that passed away in a plane crash a few years ago.”

“It was a little nerve-wracking,” said Anthony Baugh. The police have not yet released the identities of the two people aboard the plane.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said that it has been investigating the incident with the National Transportation Safety Board.
