At least four people were shot dead after an armed gunman launched shootings in multiple locations in Ohio state, US, the authorities said, adding that they are searching for the man who is believed to be armed and dangerous.

The incident took place on Saturday near Butler Township,&nbsp;located&nbsp;near Dayton, Ohio.

Among the deceased identified by the police include a 15-year-old girl whose name wasn’t released.

The police have identified the suspect—39-year-old Stephen Marlow—who is believed to have fled the area in an SUV.

The police have warned the public to immediately call 911 upon seeing him or the vehicle and urged them not to “approach him as he is still likely to be armed and dangerous.”

According to The Dayton Daily News, the four victims lived in separate homes near the residence owned by Marlow’s parents.

In a statement, Butler Township Police Chief John Porter said that authorities are being assisted by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

Calling the shooting “the first violent crime in this neighbourhood in recent memory”, Porter said, “We are working to determine if there is any motive to this horrible tragedy or if mental illness played any role.”

According to the FBI field office in Cincinnati, Marlow had ties to Indianapolis, Chicago and Lexington, Kentucky, “and could be in one of these cities”, AP news agency reported.

Marlow seems to have a history of crime life. According to Montgomery County court records, he had gotten off probation in February on aggravated burglary and aggravated menacing charges stemming from a July 2019 incident in the Dayton suburb of Vandalia, The Dayton Daily News reported.

In a report, the Texas state House of Representatives detailed that 376 officers had responded to the shooting on May 24 even as the lawmakers described the incident as “chaotic” and said the officers had a “lackadaisical approach” to the gunman.

“The void of leadership could have contributed to the loss of life,” the report said. Arredondo, 50, was initially put on paid administrative leave,&nbsp;however, school district officials said it would now be unpaid. Arredondo was suspended pending the investigation and has been on leave since June 23.

The probe report said some victims could have been saved if they did not have to wait for 73 additional minutes for rescue as it stated that the officers failed to “prioritise saving the lives of innocent victims over their own safety”.

Local media reported Uvalde police lieutenant Mariano Pargas, who was acting city police chief on the day of the attack, has been suspended.

A video earlier showed Texas police waited for over an hour before entering the classroom as the 18-year-old gunman went on a shooting rampage after he crashed his truck outside Robb Elementary School and entered the school building in the morning armed with a semi-automatic rifle.&nbsp;

US Navy veteran Adam Purinton who killed an Indian engineer Srinivas Kuchibhotla last year pleaded guilty on Monday in federal court to hate crime and firearm charges.&nbsp;

Kansas-based Purinton had already pleaded guilty to state charges for murder and attempted murder and was sentenced to life in prison last month. The local prosecutor said at the time that Purinton will not be eligible for parole for 50 years.

The sentencing is scheduled for July 2, the Justice Department said both federal prosecutors and the defence are seeking the maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

Adam Purinton is accused of killing Srinivas in a racially motivated hate crime at a bar in Kansas City last year. 52-year-old Purinton was charged with first-degree murder of Kuchibhotla. He was also charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder of Kuchibhotla's friend, Alok Madasani, and a bystander who had chased Purinton after he fled the bar.

According to reports, Purinton, yelled, "Get out of my country," before shooting Kuchibhotla, who succumbed to injuries and was declared dead.

The 33-year-old victim, Srinivas, hailed from Hyderabad and moved to the US to study engineering at the University of Texas. He worked as an aviation systems engineer at Garmin. Srinivas used to meet his friends customarily at Kansas's Austin's Bar and Grill where the tragic incident occurred on February 22 last year.&nbsp;

Srinivas' murder sparked international outcry and raised debates over hate crimes and racial bullying in the country shortly after President Donald Trump's inauguration.&nbsp;

Another incident of racial bullying surfaced in the United States when a <a href="http://www.wionews.com/world/watch-new-york-lawyer-threatens-to-deport-cafe-workers-for-speaking-in-spanish-137967">Manhattan-based lawyer</a> was seen hurling racial slurs at Spanish speaking staff of a restaurant.&nbsp;

The video of the incident has gone viral and shows the man threatening the staff and shouting at them for speaking in Spanish. "The clients of your staff are speaking Spanish to customers when they should be speaking English," the man said in the video.&nbsp;

"I pay for their welfare, I pay for their ability to be here. The least they could do is speak English," the man shouted and threatened to deport the cafe workers.&nbsp;
