The Jammu and Kashmir Police have revealed that six of the ten local youths from the Kashmir Valley who had joined terror outfits like Lashkar, Jaish and Hizb in the year 2023. have already been killed and now only four of them are active.&nbsp;

''The Youth of Jammu and Kashmir has understood the plans of Pakistan. In 2022, around 110 local youths had joined terror outfits, but the number this year fell drastically, with just 10 youths joining the terror ranks. Out of these 10, six have already been killed. I appeal to the youth to shun the path of violence and those four local active terrorists should also come to mainstream,'' said DGP JK Police Dilbagh Singh.&nbsp;

The Jammu and Kashmir Police has repeatedly&nbsp;appealed to the local youth to shun the path of violence and return to the mainstream. Police says that Pakistan is still trying to derail the peace process in the Kashmir Valley, but Jammu and Kashmir Police is making sure that those attempts are unsuccessful.&nbsp;

However, while the recruitments have come down drastically in the Valley, the police say that many terror camps across the border are still active in areas like Sialkot and near LoC across the Gurez sector. The Jammu and Kashmir Police say that Pakistan tries to push the terrorists into Kashmir, but they have managed to foil more than 90 per cent of these bids and security forces posted along the LoC are always on high alert. &nbsp;

''There are trained terrorists who try to infiltrate into our territory, but terrorism is breathing its last. We are alert and have foiled around 90 per cent infiltration bids. Most of the infiltrators who were trying to cross over were killed near the LoC only. The forces have been extremely successful this year on the LoC,'' said Dilbagh Singh.

Jammu and Kashmir Police have also said they will soon make Kashmir terror-free, and Kashmir will be a peaceful place soon.

Six of just 10 local terror recruits in J&K in 2023 killed

Jammu and Kashmir Police has gunned down 7 terrorists in last 24 hours. Three of them were Pakistani.&nbsp;

Three anti-terror operations were carried out in North and South Kashmir in last 24 hours. The first operation took place in Kupwara district of North Kashmir, 4 terrorists were killed in that operation. The second operation took place in South Kashmir's Kulgam district where 2 terrorists were killed. Third operation took place in Pulwama district where one terrorist was killed.&nbsp;

“Kupwara police arrested terrorist Shaukat Ahmed Sheikh, a resident of Shopian yesterday. After his interrogation he revealed that Pakistani terrorists were hiding in the Lolab area, he was taken to the place where four terrorists were hiding and in the encounter 3 Pakistani terrorists and Shaukat were killed in the operation," said Inspector General Police, Vijay Kumar.&nbsp;

All the terrorists killed in Kupwara encounter were associated with the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba.&nbsp;

“An operation was carried out in Pulwama in the night in which a local terrorist was killed who belonged to Lashkar," said Vijay Kumar, IG Kashmir.&nbsp;

In the third operation in South Kashmir's Kulgam district, two terrorists belonging to Jaish and LeT were killed in the encounter. &nbsp;

“Two terrorists have been killed in Kulgam operation so far, one of them Zakir was associated with Jaish while the other terrorist was with the LeT. The operation continues," said Kumar.&nbsp;

The Jammu and Kashmir Police said that 6 terrorists out of the 7 killed belonged to Lashkar-e-Taiba&nbsp;terror outfit while 1 to Jaish-e-Mohammed.&nbsp;

This year, security forces in the valley have killed 114 terrorists so far. 33 among them were foreigners, mostly Pakistani. There have been 19 civilian deaths in the valley this year and 16 security personnel have also have lost their lives.&nbsp;

Police say that 52 terrorists were killed till this time last year. This year, the number has increased more than twofold.&nbsp;

This year, Jammu and Kashmir Police has also arrested 46 active terrorists and 189 over-the-ground workers.

Days after the National Investigation Agency arrested ten people in connection with the ISIS-inspired terror module, the terror combat agency on Tuesday carried out follow-up searches at Amroha in Uttar Pradesh.

News Agency ANI quoted NIA as saying that it was conducting follow-up searches today at five locations in Amroha. The NIA further added that the raids were conducted in connection with ISIS module case last week.

The National Investigation Agency on Wednesday conducted raids at 16 different locations in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh in connection with a new ISIS-inspired terror module 'Harkat-ul-Harb-e-Islam'.

Ten people&nbsp;including the leader of the group were detained following the raids.

Of the 10 persons detained by the anti-terror probe agency, five were picked up from the western Uttar Pradesh district of Amroha following a joint operation with the UP Anti-Terrorist Squad.

Five more were detained from east Delhi's Jafarabad area with the help of Delhi Police's Special Cell.

The group was under NIA surveillance for some time following inputs of their suspicious activities.

According to the NIA sources, there were five such teams in Delhi which were planning attacks on important offices in the national capital.

The NIA source said that questioning of those nabbed would reveal vital information about the module, their plans and handlers. &nbsp;
