A horrific incident took place in Jakarta, Indonesia on Tuesday (July 2) when a man found his wife inside the stomach of a snake in the jungle.

36-year-old Siriati was visiting her brother and the two had to go to market together to purchase the medicine in Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi.

However, she was attacked by a gargantuan 30ft-python which held her leg by its teeth while she was trekking along a forest trail.

The woman was crushed to death after she was coiled by the killer reptile who then started to swallow her.&nbsp;

The woman's husband Adiansa started worrying about his wife when her brother called and informed him that she did not reach his house.&nbsp;

He went through the same route and on that trail, found her slippers on the grass. The man, then, stumbled upon a huge snake that had 'a very large belly' and was lying on the ground just some steps away from the path.

The man saw Siriati’s legs coming out of the python’s mouth and her slippers and pants lying on the ground.

He found a wooden stake and killed the snake, by piercing it through the body. With the help of the villagers, he opened the stomach of the snake and found the lifeless body of Siriati.

They recovered the corpse and buried her in the village of Siteb the next morning.

Siteba Village Secretary Iyang said that the mother of five was killed by the snake around 7:30 am local time.

"The victim wanted to go out to buy her child's medicine. Her youngest son is three years old. She was visiting her brother and had to go through the forest first," the secretary said.

"Her brother waited for a long time, but the victim didn't come. That's why her brother called the victim's husband. The husband said that Suriati had left&nbsp;early morning," he added.

"So the husband went looking for his wife, he found her sandals on the road in the middle of the forest. He suspected that they had been eaten by a snake because there were snake tracks there," Iyang further stated.

Walenrang Police Chief Adjunct Police Commissioner Idul said that the body of Siriati was found intact. "This snake more or less dragged the victim five metres from the location," he added.

"The condition of the body was intact but perhaps the bones had been crushed. The body is already at the funeral home for a religious ceremony," he said.

Idul stated that there was a wound on the leg of the victim which appeared like a snake bite.

"We think it was a snake bite. After being bitten, it immediately wrapped itself around the leg and finally paralysed the victim," he said.&nbsp;

A 12-week-old Bichon Frise cross puppy named Daisy had emergency surgery after x-rays revealed that she had swallowed 20 coins from the missing purse of her owner. The puppy was taken to the vet after she stopped eating adequately and started vomiting multiple times, reported The Guardian.

Vet nurse Sally Frith, who works at Derby PDSA Pet hospital, told The Guardian, "Daisy has broken a new record; we couldn't believe the number of coins she'd managed to eat, especially for such a tiny puppy."

"The coins had been causing a blockage which, if left, could have been fatal, so it's a good job her owner brought her into PDSA when she did."

UK's leading vet charity, PDSA, said that Daisy was examined, and vets could identify that her stomach was the cause of her pain. This raised suspicions of a blockage, so she was sedated and then X-rayed to gather conclusive results.

"I had no idea a puppy would even eat this sort of thing, and we were all beside ourselves with worry and so scared we might lose her. My four-year-old daughter is best friends with Daisy, and she was very upset," Daisy's owner, Ivana, added.

The PDSA claimed that Daisy's surgery was successfully completed and that she was sent back home with painkillers and antibiotics on the following day.
