Even as Kangana Ranaut starrer <a href="http://www.wionews.com/entertainment/manikarnika-review-its-a-kangana-ranaut-show-all-the-way-192595">‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’</a> is out in the theatres now, the controversy surrounding its directorial credit doesn't seem to die down. In an explosive chat, the original director of the film, Krish Jagarlamudi, has opened up on what went down between him and Kangana-- leading him to leave the film.&nbsp;

In an interview with a website, Krish addressed the controversy for the first time and said in a chilling statement, “I don’t know how Kangana can sleep well by taking the first credit in direction when she does not deserve it.”

On how much of his portions have been cut from the film, he said, “Difficult to say. But I think Kangana has done 20-25 per cent of the first half. I didn’t shoot a song and I didn’t shoot her entry scene. In the second half, she has even re-shot some scenes which I had done in a different way. But it’s okay now. The film is looking brilliant. I am happy that she didn’t spoil it much.”

He then added that apparently Zee Studios, the production house behind the film took Kangana’s side in all of this. On how this started, he explained that how Kangana was busy shooting for ‘Mental Hai Kya’ in London and when she came back to see the film (which had been shot entirely by June-July), she said, she along with the production didn’t like all of it and wanted some cuts.&nbsp;

“Kangana even told me that Zee Studios hadn’t liked what I had made. It was looking like a Bhojpuri film. I laughed. People know my previous work. We argued but she wanted her own way. I just couldn’t understand,” he said.

The actual fight started when she demanded that Sonu Sood’s character die in the first half of the film which Krish did not agree to. “She (Kangana) said Sonu is not required in the second half. But I put my foot down. Big arguments followed. Kamal Jain (one of the film’s producers) took Kangana’s side," he added.

As Sonu exited the project abruptly it was speculated that something <a href="http://www.wionews.com/entertainment/sonu-sood-on-exit-from-manikarnika-playing-the-woman-card-and-making-this-issue-about-male-chauvinism-is-ridiculous-163520">went down between them</a> but Sonu claimed he had an unspecified scheduling conflict. Meanwhile, Kangana <a href="https://www.google.com/url?q=http://www.wionews.com/entertainment/kangana-ranaut-on-sonu-soods-exit-from-manikarnika-he-vehemently-denied-to-work-under-a-woman-director-162752&amp;sa=U&amp;ved=0ahUKEwiEheaB0I_gAhVKuo8KHX3hDLMQFggLMAI&amp;client=internal-uds-cse&amp;cx=006054055338965708568:09spwrlibei&amp;usg=AOvVaw2kC542GnWwdGmwpatpZ3v1">accused</a> him of "refusing to work under a woman director".&nbsp;

Recently, Sonu <a href="http://www.wionews.com/entertainment/sonu-sood-on-walking-out-of-manikarnika-not-being-a-part-of-that-film-will-always-bother-me-192242">spoke of the film</a> as it released and said, “Not being a part of that film will always bother me.”

Don’t know how Kangana can sleep by taking the first credit in direction, says 'Manikarnika' co-director Krish

A few months back, actor Sonu Sood had to walk out of 'Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi' owing to his professional commitments. While Sood and the film's leading lady Kangana branaut had got into a public spat at that time, the actor now says he wishes the team well and not being a part of the period drama will always bother him.

"Not being a part of `Manikarnika...` will always bother me. I will always miss that whole experience of shooting for the film because the film was very special to me," Sonu told a news agency in an interview.&nbsp;

"But sometimes things are not meant to happen and I was not meant to be part of `Manikarnika...`. I just want to wish the team all the best. I am sure everyone has worked really hard on the film and film has to do well for every individual associated with the film," he added.

Sonu walked out of 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' due to the clash of the looks he required to sport in the two films. In Rohit Shetty`s 'Simmba', Sonu is seen with a beard, but in 'Manikarnika' he was supposed to have a clean shaven look as a warrior.

When Kangana Ranaut, as the co-director, stepped in to re-shoot some portions of 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi', which tells the story of Rani Laxmibai, Sonu was unable to change his look owing to his commitment towards 'Simmba'.&nbsp;

But Kangana, claimed that Sonu left the movie as he "refused to work under a woman director". He denied all these allegations last year. He was replaced by Zeeshan Ayyub in the film, which will release on January 25.

Asked if he is willing to work with Kangana, Sonu said: "She has always been a very close friend and I have no qualms against her. I would like to wish her all the best."

"I don`t know whether we will be a part of a script which can justify both of us. As actors, we both are demanding. If something has to happen, I think God has to plan some really great script to make this happen."

The 43-year-old Nagpur-born actor has been part of many blockbuster hits in the past including 'Jodhaa Akbar', 'Singh Is Kinng', 'R... Rajkumar', 'Kung Fu Yoga', &nbsp;'Dabangg' and 'Happy New Year'.

At the moment, he is happy with the successful run of 'Simmba', backed by Reliance Entertainment, Rohit Shetty Picturez and Dharma Productions. Released on December 28, 2018, the action-comedy drama revolves around a corrupt police officer who eventually stands up against rapist, and has minted over Rs 350 crore worldwide.

"I am very elated after the success of `Simmba`. The whole team works together and if the film becomes the biggest blockbuster of the year and then you can`t ask for anything else. We are all blessed. There are good wishes with us which are doing the trick."

He hopes for at least one 'Simmba` in his career every year".

"`Simmba` will always be very special for me because I got to work with Rohit, Karan and Ranveer. I found new friends in them. We share great bonding and I am sure that these bonding will make many more `Simmba` in the years to come."

Sonu Sood on walking out of 'Manikarnika': Not being a part of that film will always bother me

Ever since Malayalam song Jimmiki Kammal released in August this year, the song has fascinated people all across the country. Not only has the song been loved by people in India, but even talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel has given his nod of approval.&nbsp;

The song, which is from the film Velipadinte Pusthakam, featured superstar Mohanlal in the lead. As the song became a nationwide rage, the makers urged everyone to send in their videos dancing their version to the song.&nbsp;

Now, someone has mashed a Jackie Chan&#39;s video to the song and the result is absolutely brilliant! Chan along with Sonu Sood, Amyra Dastur, Disha Patani featured in a film called Kung Fu Yoga. The video is from the same film just that the mashup uses Jimmiki Kammal song.&nbsp;
