However, he lost after a deal between PML-N and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari-led Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). This comes as Sharif’s PML-N had to win PPP’s support to form the coalition government.&nbsp;

The PML-N and the PPP agreed to form the government despite independents backed by former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party winning majority seats of the 266-member National Assembly.

Secondly, you should also (patch up) with a resident of Adiala Jail (a reference to jailed PTI leader Imran Khan). Try to fix things at that level as well and I believe that you can do it.”

What did Joe Biden write in the letter? "That includes advancing our shared vision for a future of greater health security, economic growth, and access to education for all. Through our U.S.-Pakistan “Green Alliance” framework, we will also continue to strengthen our climate resilience, support sustainable agriculture and water management, and assist with Pakistan’s recovery from the devastating floods in 2022. And, the United States remains committed to working with Pakistan to protect human rights and promote progress," President Biden's letter read. "Together, we will continue to forge a strong partnership between our nations, and a close bond between our people," the letter concluded. Why is this letter important for Pakistan? Considering how Islamabad's relations with the White House have strained, this letter holds significance for Pakistan's government. The US-Pak ties have had multiple ups and downs following the withdrawal of international forces from Afghanistan. During his tenure, former Prime Minister Imran Khan blamed Washington for conspiring, in collaboration with Pakistan’s military to remove him from office through a vote of no-confidence.
