<p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi met&nbsp;with Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain in China's Qingdao at the&nbsp;Shanghai Cooperation Organisation(SCO) summit on Sunday.</p>

<p>The two leaders shook hands after signing of agreements between the SCO nations.</p>

<p>The meeting between the two leaders holds significance as the relations between India and Pakistan&nbsp;is in&nbsp;turmoil because of the continued ceasefire violation.</p>

<p>This is the first time when India&nbsp;and Pakistan participated in the SCO meeting as permanent members.</p>

<p>India's ambassador to China Gautam Bambawale had said earlier that India and Pakistan will not hold any formal meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation(SCO) summit.</p>

<p>Bambawale had said that the leaders of the two countries may talk during the summit but there will be "no formal meeting" with Pakistan.</p>

<p>"Neither have we nor has Pakistan asked for a formal meeting but during such summits leaders may talk on the sidelines but there will be no formal meeting (with Pakistan)", Indian Ambassador to China, Gautam Bambawale said.<br />
He had also said, "terror will certainly be a substantial part of the discussion".&nbsp;</p>
