Directed by debutant Aditya Nimbalkar, who has worked with filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj in the past, 'Bull' is set in the 80s and draws its inspiration from real-life events.&nbsp;

Commenting on this latest development, Shahid Kapoor reportedly said, "'Bull' is a full-blown action film inspired by real events from the life of Brigadier Bulsara. It is a privilege to play a paratrooper who leads his boys through a historic and selfless mission that has now become iconic for its precision and bravado. The opportunity to play a paratrooper is exhilarating and truly an honour."

Bhushan Kumar, who is producing the film with Amar Butala and Garima Mehta, said, "We're all set to bring the audience an action extravaganza with our second collaboration with Shahid after 'Kabir Singh'.&nbsp;

The film's screenplay is being penned by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Shaikh and is slated to get into production phase in 2022.

Shahid Kapoor to play paratrooper in action flick 'Bull'

After showing his mad-in-love side in 'Kabir Singh', Shahid Kapoor has begun preparations to turn into a cricketer for the upcoming Hindi remake of Telugu film 'Jersey'. 
 
Gowtam Tinnanuri, who was the man behind the camera in the original feature starring Nani, will return to helm the Hindi version too. It is set to open on August 28 next year, film critic Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter.

Shahid Kapoor starts prepping for 'Jersey' Hindi remake

One of the most talked about Telugu films of 2017, Arjun Reddy, is getting remade in Hindi. The film won critical appreciation and was considered as one of the best films of last year. Now, the Hindi remake of the same is being planned with Shahid Kapoor playing the lead.&nbsp; 
 
According to media reports, Shahid will be playing&nbsp;the role that actor Vijay Deverakonda played in the original.&nbsp;

“The film is scheduled to go on the floors in July and the team is looking for an actress opposite Shahid at the moment. While the locations are yet to be finalised, the plan is to shoot in India as well as abroad,"a source was quoted as saying.&nbsp; 
 
In the original film, Shalini Pandey played the female lead opposite Vijay. 
 
The film, hailed as a contemporary take on Devdas, was a critical and commercial success in 2017. It is a story of a medical surgeon suffering from anger management issues who goes on a self-destructive path after his girlfriend marries someone else. The film was even applauded by Baahubali director SS Rajamouli.&nbsp; 
 
The Hindi adaptation will be helmed by Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Vanga only, who will make his Hindi directorial debut with the film.&nbsp;
