She wrote, "The strange sight is a particularly rare form of parhelia, a phenomenon where atmospheric reflection and refraction, off ice crystals, pollution, or other particulates in the atmosphere, can cause 'sun dogs' to appear."</p>

<p>"Even then, normally, one or two sun dogs are visible - the appearance of seven suns is something straight out of Shakespeare, prophecy, or perhaps a Nicolas Cage movie."</p>
