"I am not surprised at the way he is playing in various international events and the way he is performing. I expect more fireworks from these youngsters Praggnanandhaa, Nihal Sarin, Gukesh, Erigaisi Arjun. All of them have done well. Praggnanandhaa has defeated Carlsen which is a wonderful feeling."

Praggnanandhaa toppled world champion Carlsen of Norway in 39 moves. The AICF Secretary said the young Indian player is "very dynamic and tactically well-versed".

"Praggnanandhaa puts his best in all the games 39 moves or 89 moves. He keeps fighting till the end. He is very well-versed with the theory and very dynamic. Good at tactics also, so I think it was a wonderful game," Chauhan said.

After beating the World Champion Praggnanandhaa came back with two more victories showing that his win was not a flash in the pan.

The 16-year-old registered victories against Andrey Esipenko and Alexandra Kosteniuk in rounds 10 and 12 of the Airthings Masters, an online rapid Chess competition.

Praggnanandhaa's win over Carlsen was a kind of sweet revenge as the Norwegian dethroned Indian legend Viswanathan Anand as World Chess Champion in 2013. So far only three Indians have managed to beat Carlsen.

Before Praggnanandhaa, P Harikrishna and Viswanathan Anand have beaten the Norwegian.

"Today, SpiceJet cancelled 14 flights. It operates 500 plus flights daily and 14 were cancelled. They've been able to accommodate all passengers on their own. Tomorrow is going to be a real challenging day, as today grounding came into effect in second half of the day," Kharola said.&nbsp;

He added that the government had had a "discussion with the airlines as to how they plan to reduce inconvenience to passengers".&nbsp;

At the moment, SpiceJet is the only Indian airline flying the Boeing 737 Max 8.&nbsp;

It has 12 of them.&nbsp;

Jet Airlines has 5 of the Boeings, but they were already grounded before the Ethiopian Airlines crash on Sunday.&nbsp;

"SpiceJet says they've increased utilisation of existing aircraft," Kharola said on Wednesday.&nbsp;

He said that "about 30-35 flights will get affected tomorrow" but that SpiceJet have "assured that no airport that has SpiceJet service will go unserviced."&nbsp;

The Supreme Court today told the Centre that it was in "sheer contempt" of its direction on Cauvery water sharing for failing to frame a scheme for distribution of water between the southern riparian states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Union Territory of Puducherry.

The top court directed the Secretary of the Union Water Resources Ministry to personally appear before it on May 14 with a draft of the Cauvery management scheme to implement its verdict on water sharing between four states including Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

It had in February asked the Centre to formulate a scheme to ensure compliance of its judgement on the decades-old Cauvery dispute.&nbsp;

A bench headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra told the Centre that once the judgment has been delivered on the issue, it has to be implemented.

While posting the matter for May 14, the bench, which was not happy with the development, said the Centre was in "sheer contempt".

"We do not want to come back to square one. Once the judgment has been delivered, it has to be implemented," the bench also comprising Justices A M Khanwilkar and D Y Chandrachud said.

Attorney General K K Venugopal said the Centre was seeking time in view of the fact that the Union Cabinet has not met due to the ongoing campaigning for the assembly polls in Karnataka.

Senior advocate Shekhar Naphade , appearing for Tamil Nadu, opposed the AG's plea and said "this is the fit case for contempt. Somebody has to be sent to jail".

The apex court had earlier asked the Centre to formulate a scheme to ensure compliance of its judgement on the decades-old Cauvery dispute.&nbsp;

It had modified the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal (CWDT) award of 2007 and made it clear that it will not be extending time for this on any ground.

SC tells Centre it is in 'sheer contempt' for not framing Cauvery water sharing plan

Plans to host a first day-night test in India later this year remain intact, the country&#39;s cricket board (BCCI) secretary said on Tuesday, dismissing a local media report that prospective opponents New Zealand had rejected the idea. 
 
In April, the BCCI decided that one match of a three-test series against New Zealand would be a day-night affair, pending trials of the pink-ball in a domestic tournament, with Kolkata&#39;s Eden Gardens a popular choice for the contest.
