<p>Actor Rishi Kapoor has for the first time opened up about his Cancer treatment and how he has learnt to be patient while undergoing treatment. It was in September 2018, when the actor had announced on Twitter that he would be taking a break from work and travelling to America for medical treatment.&nbsp;</p>

<p>His illness was not specified, though speculations were rife that the actor was suffering from Cancer. Now, on Wednesday, filmmaker<a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/rishi-kapoor-is-cancer-free-now-says-filmmaker-rahul-rawail-in-a-facebook-post-214699"> Rahul Rawail put all speculations to rest </a>as he announced on Facebook that 'Rishi Kapoor is cancer-free'.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer-free," the actor said during an interview to a daily for the first time since he went to the US for treatment.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Although he is now cancer-free, it will take him another two-three month to back to normal life. "I will have to do a bone-marrow transplant which in all probability should take another two months minimum.” However, the actor was upbeat about returning home soon. “Being in remission is a big thing and it’s all because of my family and my fans prayers and duas that have worked. I thank them all, " the actor added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The actor credited his wife Neetu Kapoor for being his biggest support through this illness,"Neetu has stood by me like a rock. Otherwise I am too difficult a person to handle as far as food and drink are concerned."</p>

<p>The actor also said that illness brought him closer to his son, Ranbir. "My kids Ranbir and Ridhima &nbsp;have really shouldered my problems.”</p>

<p>The family along with Ranbir Kapoor's girlfriend Alia Bhatt had recently spent the New Year's together in New York. Neetu Kapoor had shared photos of the celebration and hinted at the actor's ongoing Cancer treatment as she captioned the image as, " Happy 2019 no resolutions only wishes this year !!! Less pollution traffic!! Hope in future cancer is only a zodiac sign !!! No hatred less poverty loads of love togetherness happiness n most imp. Good health.(sic)"&nbsp;</p>

Actor Rishi Kapoor has for the first time opened up about his Cancer treatment and how he has learnt to be patient while undergoing treatment. It was in September 2018, when the actor had announced on Twitter that he would be taking a break from work and travelling to America for medical treatment. His illness was not specified, though speculations were rife that the actor was suffering from Cancer. Now, on Wednesday, filmmaker Rahul Rawail put all speculations to rest as he announced on Facebook that 'Rishi Kapoor is cancer-free'. "God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer-free," the actor said during an interview to a daily for the first time since he went to the US for treatment. Although he is now cancer-free, it will take him another two-three month to back to normal life. "I will have to do a bone-marrow transplant which in all probability should take another two months minimum.” However, the actor was upbeat about returning home soon. “Being in remission is a big thing and it’s all because of my family and my fans prayers and duas that have worked. I thank them all, " the actor added. The actor credited his wife Neetu Kapoor for being his biggest support through this illness,"Neetu has stood by me like a rock. Otherwise I am too difficult a person to handle as far as food and drink are concerned." The actor also said that illness brought him closer to his son, Ranbir. "My kids Ranbir and Ridhima have really shouldered my problems.” The family along with Ranbir Kapoor's girlfriend Alia Bhatt had recently spent the New Year's together in New York. Neetu Kapoor had shared photos of the celebration and hinted at the actor's ongoing Cancer treatment as she captioned the image as, " Happy 2019 no resolutions only wishes this year !!! Rishi Kapoor breaks silence on his cancer treatment: God has been kind

<p>A few months back, when Rishi Kapoor declared he was going to the US for medical treatment, speculations were rife that the actor was diagnosed with cancer. The family has never spoken in details about the nature of his illness and all fans have gotten to see are some photos that his wife, Neetu Kapoor has been sharing on Instagram from time to time.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On Tuesday though, filmmaker Rahul Rawail put speculations to rest as he posted on Facebook, 'Rishi Kapoor (Chintu) is cancer free!'. Rawail is a close friend of Kapoor and the director even posted an old photo of the two in his post.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Son Ranbir had flown to New York along with girlfriend Alia Bhatt and Sister Ridhima and her family to celebrate the New Year's with his parents.&nbsp;<br />
Ranbir, while receiving his Best Actor Filmfare award last month had also dedicated his award to his parents and stated that how his father was going through a 'rough patch'. Ranbir had also mentioned how his father missed working and wondered if he would get any work once he is back in Mumbai.&nbsp;</p>
