<p>According to the latest reports, judge M C Jha&nbsp;will&nbsp;decide whether the film violates the Copyright Act or not after the screening. Karan Johar and other makers of the film are yet to react on the matter.</p>

<p>Singh had earlier claimed that his story titled ‘Punny Rani’ has similar content to the KJo's upcoming film and that the makers have used his content without giving any credit to him. He sought a stay on the release of the movie.</p>

<p>He also demanded a compensation of Rs 1.5 crore.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A court in Ranchi today awarded death sentence to a man for rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl in Ranchi four years ago.</p>

<p>Additional District Judge, Shiv Pal Singh held 30-year- old Gandhi Oraon guilty in the case and pronounced the death sentence.</p>

<p>The incident took place on March 19, 2014, and the police filed the charge sheet on June 18 that year.</p>

<p>The convict, who hails from Gumla district of the state, was working as a helper of a bus in Ranchi.</p>

<p>Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and 15 others were on Saturday sentenced to three-and-a-half years in jail in a fodder scam case by a court in Ranchi.</p>

<p>Speaking on the verdict, Lalu&#39;s son and former Deputy chief minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav said they will appeal against the sentence in the High court and will also apply for a bail.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per the judgement,&nbsp;none of the convicts will be granted bail from the Ranchi Court. They will have to move to the High Court.</p>
