Tihar Jail authorities will conduct dummy execution of <a href="https://www.wionews.com/india-news/court-to-hear-plea-of-nirbhayas-parents-seeking-to-expedite-punishment-to-4-convicts-272716">Nirbhaya gang-rape</a> convicts in the coming days ahead of their execution on January 22.

Earlier, it was scheduled to be held today.

The dummy execution will be conducted in Jail 3, the place where they will be executed on January 22. "Tihar to conduct dummy execution in the coming days but not today. It will be done in jail 3, where the execution will take place," said Tihar Jail administration in a statement. At the time of the dummy execution, the executive engineer of PWD, superintendent, and other jail officials will be present, it said.

All four convicts in the Nirbhaya case will be executed on January 22 at 7 am in jail cell 3 in Tihar Jail, the same place where Afzal Guru, the terrorist convicted Parliament attack case, was hanged. The officials said they will be hanged together.

A court in Delhi issued death warrants against all four death row convicts in the Nirbhaya gang-rape case. The convicts Pawan Gupta, Akshay, Vinay Sharma, and Mukesh Singh will be hanged at 7 am on January 22. The hangman will be called from Uttar Pradesh Prison Department.&nbsp;

The Public Works Department (PWD) of the Delhi government has slapped a fine of Rs 27 lakh on the AAP for &quot;unauthorised occupation&quot; of a bungalow in Rouse Avenue.

The PWD has issued a notice to AAP national secretary Pankaj Gupta over its continued occupation of 206, Rouse Avenue as party office.

Sources in the government told PTI that as on May 31, the fine, which is essentially penal rent, amounts to Rs 27,73,802.

The fine amount, which is 65 times the license fee, will pile up further if the party doesn&#39;t vacate the premises, the sources said.

In April, the PWD had issued a notice to AAP&#39;s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal asking him to immediately vacate the office, which it said that was allotted in &quot;violation&quot; of rules.

The party had then said that it would seek a legal recourse against this action as other political parties too have been allotted bungalows to use as office space.

The three-member Shunglu committee, formed by the then Lt Governor Najeeb Jung to examine over 400 files pertaining to the decisions taken by the AAP government, had pointed out &quot;irregularities&quot; in allotting the office.

In November 2015, the AAP government had approved a policy for land allotment to state parties.&nbsp;The Kejriwal government then allotted a bungalow to the AAP on Rouse Avenue the following year.

The bungalow was earlier allotted to Asim Ahmed Khan, the then Delhi minister, who was sacked over graft charges.
