<p>Zabul provincial council’s chairman Ata Jan Haq Bayan said, “I have already mentioned that if the Taliban had the will to build, they should first come up with peace, sit with Afghans and build this country together.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>This act was also condemned by religious scholars. Mawlawi Abdul Wadood, a religious scholar, said, “Wasting public property is forbidden. Anyone, who takes over public property, must protect it and must prevent its waste.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>On Saturday, Delhi Police registered an FIR for ''defacement of public property'' at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) amid the recent protests that erupted in the aftermath of fee hike. This is the first FIR to be registered in connection with the anti-hike protests.</p>

The protestors also have issues with the draft hostel manual which underlines a dress code and curfew timings.</p>

<p>On Saturday, the university administration had filed a complaint against the alleged vandalism and defacement of Swami Vivekananda's statue. The statue, which was yet to be unveiled, was found defaced on November 14. &nbsp;The students have denied any role in the incident and referred to it as a miscreant's act to dilute the movement of JNU students' union against the university.</p>

<p>On Friday, the JNU Vice-Chancellor (VC) had appealed to the agitating students to stop their protests. "The administration has taken an extremely grim view of this condemnable and reprehensible behaviour of the agitating students and their mentors. Let us all appeal to the agitating students, once again, to stop their protests, which have been hampering studies of thousands of students on the campus who are preparing for their end-semester examinations and trying to write their term papers," the VC had said in a statement.</p>
