The two judges included those appointed by US President Joe Biden, J. Michelle Childs, and Florence Pan, and one was Karen LeCraft Henderson appointed by former US President George HW Bush.

In a hard-hitting statement in the ruling, the court wrote, “It would be a striking paradox if the President, who alone is vested with the constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed, were the sole officer capable of defying those laws with impunity."&nbsp;

After the ruling, Trump hit back saying that it is 'nation-destroying'. In a Truth Social post, the former US president said, “a President of the United States must have full Immunity in order to properly function and do what has to be done for the good of our Country".

“A President will be afraid to act for fear of the opposite Party’s Vicious Retribution after leaving Office,” he wrote, adding, “It will become a political weapon.”

Santos was charged with a crime in Brazil, according to court documents originally unearthed by the New York Times, for using two stolen cheques to make purchases, including a pair of sneakers he gave to a friend, at a store in the city of Niteroi.&nbsp;

Santos would have been 19 years old at the time. Prosecutors charged in 2011 that the entire cost of the transaction was 2,144 Brazilian reais, which at the time was equivalent to roughly $1,350.

According to the court documents viewed by the Associated Press, that came after an investigation started in 2008 and Santos' signed a confession, in which he admitted to having stolen the chequebook of his mother's former employer from her purse and made purchases, including in the store, and recognised the fraudulent cheques as the ones he had signed.

The case was halted in 2013 after a court accepted the allegations against Santos in 2011. Subsequent subpoenas for him to personally appear or submit a written defence remained unanswered, and officials were constantly unable to find him.

The daily Folha de S.Paulo said that Santos will pay 24,000 reais (about $5,000) in accordance with the conditions of the non-prosecution agreement, with the bulk going to the shopkeeper who was given the faulty cheques and the remaining amount going to charity. The publication did not specify how it acquired this information. According to the newspaper, Santos virtually attended the meeting.

The resolution of the case eliminates the potential that Santos would have had to fly to another nation to settle outstanding charges; this may have been challenging given that he had recently been charged in the US and had to turn in his passport.

&quot;We are committed to pursuing a full, fair, and independent review of this matter,&quot; the state attorney general tweeted after Time&#39;s Up urged Governor Andrew Cuomo, who is up for re-election, to act.

More than 100 women have publicly accused Weinstein since October, allegations that sparked a sexual harassment watershed and ended his career.&nbsp;

His wife left him and police opened criminal investigations in London, Los Angeles and New York. He has been hit by a litany of civil lawsuits that stand to see the 66-year-old financially ruined.

But besides reportedly undergoing treatment for sex addiction at an Arizona clinic, the former powerbroker remains at large after hiring Ben Brafman, one of America&#39;s most celebrated criminal defense lawyers.

Frustrated by the apparent failure to bring him to justice, the movement founded by the likes of Reese Witherspoon and Jessica Chastain demanded Cuomo investigate the failure to prosecute the case of Italian model Ambra Battilana Gutierrez, one of the first women to come forward against Weinstein.

Had district attorney Cyrus Vance done so, other potential victims may have avoided being mistreated by the producer, they argued.&nbsp;

Time&#39;s Up called &quot;particularly disturbing&quot; reports that the mogul &quot;could have... improperly influenced&quot; Vance and that officials in the prosecutor&#39;s office &quot;may have sought to intimidate Battilana.&quot;

Six months on, pressure builds for Weinstein prosecution

A Chinese businessman who pleaded guilty in March to conspiring to hack into the computer networks of Boeing and other major US defence&nbsp;contractors was sentenced on Wednesday to nearly four years in prison, prosecutors said. 
 
Su Bin, 51, was charged with taking part in a years-long scheme by Chinese military officers to obtain sensitive military information. In addition to the 46-month prison term, a judge in US District Court in Los Angeles also ordered Su to pay a $10,000 fine. 
 
&quot;Su Bin&#39;s sentence is a just punishment for his admitted role in a conspiracy with hackers from the People&#39;s Liberation Army Air Force to illegally access and steal sensitive US military information,&quot; John Carlin, assistant attorney general for national security, said in a statement. 
 
&quot;Su assisted the Chinese military hackers in their efforts to illegally access and steal designs for cutting-edge military aircraft that are indispensable to our national defence,&quot; the statement said. 
 
In an August 2014 indictment, prosecutors said Su travelled to the United States at least 10 times between 2008 and 2014 and worked with two unidentified co-conspirators based in China to steal the data. 
 
The trio were accused of stealing plans relating to the C-17 military transport plane and F-22 and F-35 fighter jets, and attempting to sell them to Chinese companies.&nbsp; 
 
According to prosecutors, in pleading guilty Su admitted sending emails to his co-conspirators telling them which persons, companies and technologies to target with their hacking and translating the stolen material from English to Chinese. 
 
Su admitted taking part in the crime for financial gain, prosecutors said.&nbsp;The Chinese government has repeatedly denied any involvement in hacking.&nbsp;Su was arrested in Canada in 2014 and ultimately consented to US extradition. 
 
He pleaded guilty in March to one count of conspiring to gain unauthorised access to a protected computer and to violate the Arms Export Control Act.
