<h2>Heightened security</h2>

These posters were put up by a Khalistani group called Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) on Tuesday, reports Hindustan Times.

Indian EAM Jaishankar will now be guarded by the VIP security wing of the Central Reserve Security Force (CRPF), which guards around 176 people in the country. His protection detail will consist of 22 personnel, including 4-6 NSG commandos and police personnel.

The report further cites a Delhi Police officer, who, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said that police had also received inputs of threats to Jaishankar from separatist groups.

As per the report, the posters also announce that a 'referendum' over the carving out of a separate state of "Khalistan" out of India will be held outside the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara, Surrey, British Columbia.

The Gurudwara is where Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar was killed by unidentified men on June 18th.

<h2>Hamas-like attacks</h2>

This comes as Khalistani extremist leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun in a video threatened India of a Hamas-like attack.&nbsp;

Pannun, a designated terrorist under India's Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), can be heard saying: "People under illegal occupation from Punjab to Palestine will react. And violence begets violence."

<h2>Calls for 'referendum'</h2>

Quoting people in the know, the Indian media publication reports that the referendum will be held in Vancouver on October 29. Before that, on October 21, a protest is slated to be launched from Surrey to the Indian consulate in Vancouver.

“Posters of two criminals have been put in front of Congress office. Both of them are out on bail; Criminal no.1 Rahul Gandhi in connection with National Herald case and criminal number two Robert Vadra who has to appear before ED today in connection with money laundering case.”

Robert Vadra is to appear before the Enforcement Directorate pertaining to a 2009 petroleum deal case.

A Delhi court had given Vadra interim bail till February 16 in connection with a &nbsp;money laundering case.

Jagdish Sharma, who had helped in putting up the posters said, “I put up the posters at 4 am in the morning. Later on, I got the information that NDMC removed all the posters,” Sharma said. &nbsp;

The posters come a day after Priyanka Gandhi returned to the national capital after her trip abroad, Soon after her arrival Priyanka conducted meeting with Rahul and other prominent members of the party to review ongoing preparations for the Lok Sabha polls.&nbsp;

Anti-H1B posters have come up in local metro stations and commuter trains in San Francisco and California, ahead of the work visa, which is popular among Indian IT professionals, filing season beginning in April.&nbsp;

The Progressives for Immigration Reform which has bought advertisements worth $80,000 for the San Francisco&rsquo;s Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) stations and trains, argues that their purpose is to create awareness about the misuse and abuse of the H-1B visa.&nbsp;

&ldquo;This is to get exposure to the H-1B programme. And with that attention, with that visibility, begin conversations on the abuses of the programmes what it was intended to be and what it has become,&rdquo; Kevin Lynn, director of the Washington Dc-based Progressive for Information Reform said.&nbsp;

Kevin Lynn, executive director of the group, denied the campaign had anything to do with the fact that most H-1B recipients are from India.

He added that the goal of the campaign was to organise American tech workers to &ldquo;demand better protections from exploitation in the tech industry&rdquo;.

&quot;In fact, I would say the positive responses are half and half between people who are who are foreign and people who are US citizens. Because there are two groups being abused here and exploited. One are foreign nationals who are working for companies that they have no protection, no labour laws in America are protecting the H1B worker. If company decides to fire them, they go back to whatever country they came from,&quot; Lynn said.

&quot;At the same time, companies are using H-1B workers to displace or not even think of seeking to hire an American worker who&#39;s qualified to do the job,&quot; he asserted.

He said the solution is that, a company should be made to seek and hire American workers first. &quot;Two, when we work through a programme like this, should not be for people with ordinary skills, but only the exceptionally talented. That was the intention in 1990s. It was called the genius visa,&quot; Lynn said.&nbsp;

Most of the H-1B visa holders hold a bachelor&#39;s degree from a foreign university and 26 per cent of those have only an associate&#39;s degree, he said. &quot;So, we&#39;re not seeing the very talented people coming to the country, but we&#39;re seeing people brought over to displace American workers,&quot; he alleged. The intention of the programme initially was to bring the best and the brightest, he said.

Lynn said this publicity is &quot;already expanding&quot; into other cities. The nature of campaign differs from city to city.

The campaign started on March 15, and would last till April 1, he said, adding that he has been receiving &quot;amazingly positive&quot; response from the users of BART. &quot;Your companies think you are expensive, undeserving &amp; expendable,&quot; the advertisement said.

The ads call on Congress to reform the H-1B visa program, which tech companies use to bring in workers from overseas. The ads have caused some controversy, but BART says it can&#39;t do anything about them because of free speech laws.

&quot;While there have certainly been instances of abuse of the H-1B visa programme by large staffing companies that should be addressed, H-1B workers and immigrants have been a great benefit to our country. Posters begging Pakistan&#39;s powerful army chief to launch a coup appeared in major cities including the capital Islamabad overnight, raising eyebrows in a country that has been ruled by the military for more than half its history. 
 
The posters, which also appeared in Lahore, Karachi and the garrison city of Rawalpindi as well as several army-run cantonment areas, were placed there by &#39;Move on Pakistan&#39;, a largely-unknown political party founded in 2013. 
 
&#39;Talk of leaving has become old, for God&#39;s sake come now&#39;, scream the posters, referring to General Raheel Sharif&#39;s decision to step down at the end of his tenure this year.&nbsp;They feature a large photograph of the mustachioed general.&nbsp; 
 
&quot;Dictatorship is much better than this corrupt government,&quot; Ali Hashmi, chief organiser behind Move on Pakistan, said on Tuesday. 
 
&quot;The way General Raheel Sharif has dealt with terrorism and corruption, there is no guarantee that the next man would be as effective as him,&quot; he said. 
 
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is said to be preparing to name a successor to the wildly popular general, who is no relation and whose three-year tenure expires in November. 
 
Widely credited with Pakistan&#39;s improved security situation, he is the frequent subject of hashtags such as #ThankYouRaheelSharif and #PakLovesGenRaheel.&nbsp;The Prime Minister and his government, in contrast, have been plagued by accusations of corruption and inefficiency. 
 
But, despite his popularity, the army chief&#39;s announcement in January that he would step down at the end of his tenure won him praise for respecting democratic institutions - unlike three of his predecessors. 
 
There was no immediate reaction to the posters from the federal government.&nbsp;The military denied it had anything to do with the posters.
