According to the annual report published on September 29 by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), India has for the first time made notable advancements in the global innovation index rating, landing a spot in the top 40.

<p>Former prime minister Manmohan Singh has written to President Ram Nath Koving asking him to caution the Prime Minister against using threatening language.&nbsp;</p>

<p>ANI reported that Manmohan had said Prime Minister Modi should not use "unwarranted, threatening and intimidating language" against leaders of the Congress party or any other party.&nbsp;</p>

<p>ANI added Manmohan as saying in his letter that such language does not behove the position of the prime minister.&nbsp;</p>
