A man travelling on an Air India flight from Mumbai to Delhi was apprehended at the airport following allegations of defecating, urinating, and spitting inside the aircraft, as reported by officials. According to the filed FIR by the flight captain at Delhi's IGI Airport police station, the incident occurred on June 24, when the passenger seated at 17F engaged in this misconduct in row 9 DEF of the aircraft, reported ANI.

The cabin crew noticed the behaviour, issued a verbal warning through the cabin supervisor, and subsequently informed the flight captain.

Speaking to ANI, a senior official of Delhi Police said, "On the complaint of the flight captain, Delhi Police registered a case -- u/s 294/510 -- at IGI police station and arrested the accused passenger. We produced him before a court which granted him bail. Further investigation is underway."

Immediate action was taken by notifying the airline and requesting airport security to escort the passenger upon arrival. Fellow passengers expressed their displeasure, leading to the accused being escorted to the IGI <a href="https://www.wionews.com/trending/meet-the-woman-who-arrived-at-the-airport-with-all-clothes-stuffed-in-a-bra-609007">Airport</a> police station by the head of Air India security.

The accused, a cook employed in Africa, had boarded the Air India flight AIC 866. Delhi Police registered a case based on the captain's complaint, and the accused was arrested and granted bail after appearing in court, while further investigation is ongoing.

Speaking about the incident, an Air India spokesperson said, a passenger on the Mumbai-Delhi on June 24 "behaved in a repulsive manner, causing discomfort to the co-passengers. In doing their best to manage the situation in the circumstances, the crew immediately secluded the passenger for the rest of the flight and issued a warning."&nbsp; 
 
"The passenger was handed over to the security personnel upon landing in Delhi. A police complaint (FIR) was registered subsequently, as was the matter reported to the regulator. Air India follows a zero tolerance policy for such unruly and unacceptable behaviour." Air India also said that they are&nbsp;"extending all cooperation to the ongoing investigations," said Air India, in a statement.&nbsp;

The flight, originally scheduled to reach Delhi at 4 am, was later granted permission by the Delhi Air Traffic Control (ATC) to proceed to Delhi, along with other diverted flights. However, the pilot refused to fly, citing flight duty time limitations and duty hours.

In a tweet posted on Sunday, Adit, a passenger from the aforementioned incident, expressed frustration that the affected passengers had not received any assistance in reaching their intended destinations.

Urgently seeking intervention, Adit directly appealed to Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia for immediate assistance.

Air India issued a response to the passenger, assuring them that their team was actively working to minimise the inconvenience caused.

"Please stop with the false promises! The staff at the Jaipur airport have been absolutely inept &amp; incorrigible to provide us with any assistance. The solution they have provided for all passengers to travel by coach to Delhi is absolutely damnable &amp; ludicrous. Please coordinate &amp; have us flown to Delhi ASAP," Adit told the airline.&nbsp;

A day after it came to light that IndiGo barred a specially-abled child from boarding a flight at the Ranchi airport as he was in "a state of panic", Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Monday that no human being should have to go through this and he himself is investigating the incident.

As the boy was prohibited from boarding the airline's Ranchi-Hyderabad flight on Saturday, his parents, who were with him, also decided to not enter the plane.

The Saturday's incident came to light after other passengers posted about this incident on social media on Sunday.

Commenting on one such social media post regarding this incident, Scindia on Monday said on Twitter, "There is zero tolerance towards such behaviour. No human being should have to go through this! Investigating the matter by myself, post which appropriate action will be taken."

DGCA chief Arun Kumar had on Sunday told PTI that the regulator has sought a report from IndiGo on this matter.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is probing this incident and it will take appropriate action, he said.

A passenger named Manisha Gupta had detailed this incident on LinkedIn. She said that on Saturday, at the Ranchi airport, an adolescent with special needs, was in great discomfort.

"The exhaustion of the drive to the airport and then the stress of security check has sent him into the throes of hunger, thirst, anxiety and confusion. His parents obviously knew how to handle his meltdown - with patience, cajoling, stern-ness, many hugs," she mentioned.

By the time the boarding began, the child had been fed and given his medicines, she said.

He seemed ready except for some big displays of general teenage assertiveness, she noted.

"Then we witnessed the full display of brute authority and power. The IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd) staff declared that the child would not be allowed to take the flight because he was a risk to other passengers," she mentioned.

"The Indigo manager also said something on lines of 'behaviours such as this, and that of drunk passengers, deems them unfit to travel'," she said.

The other passengers opposed him resolutely and they demanded that the child and his parents board the flight as soon as possible, she mentioned.

Several challenged the Indigo staff to calibrate his decision with corresponding statements in the rule book, she said.

"They held up their mobile phones with news articles, and Twitter posts on supreme court judgements on how no airline could discriminate against passengers with disabilities. There was a delegation of doctors that was taking the same flight. They offered to provide full support to the child and his parents, if any health episode were to occur mid-air," she noted.

However, IndiGo staff did not change their decision of barring the child from taking the flight, she said.

When asked about the incident, IndiGo had on Sunday said, "In view of the safety of passengers, a specially-abled child could not board the flight with his family on May 7, as he was in a state of panic."

The ground staff waited for him to calm down till the last minute but to no avail, it said.

The airline made the family comfortable by providing them a hotel stay and they flew the next morning to their destination, it said.

India's state-run Hindustan Aeronautics Limited(HAL) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Israel Aerospace Industries(IAI) to convert passenger aircraft into Multi Mission Tanker Transport aircraft, in India.&nbsp;

Under this pact which is aimed at boosting the Make-in-India initiative, HAL will convert pre-owned passenger aircraft into aerial refuelling tankers with cargo and transport capabilities. This will provide India's defence ecosystem with new capabilities and cost-effective solutions.&nbsp;

Aerial refuelling tankers are crucial in extending the range of fighters and other aircraft, as the latter can carry on with their mission, without having to land and make a refuelling stop.

As per the IAI, their Boeing767 conversion process converts pre-owned B767 aircraft into aerial tankers for a variety of different military missions, all with Air-to-Air refuelling capabilities.&nbsp;

Customers are offered multiple, flexible solutions to choose from, adapting the aircraft for cargo, VIP, passengers or intelligence systems, as desired. Each aircraft configuration includes a special cargo door and built-in cargo pallet capabilities, as well as passenger seats and consoles that can be rapidly installed or removed.&nbsp;

In converting passenger aircraft to Special Freighters for special missions, IAI has converted over 250 aircraft to date, many with an unbeatable safety record and high utilization rates, they added.
