<p>In a first in the northern part of the country, a park designed for differently-abled&nbsp;children has been opened in Panchkula's Town Park.</p>

<p>The park has been built by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment in an area of six-acre at a total cost of 65 lanks.</p>

<p>The funding has been provided by Reliance Foundation under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.</p>

<p>The swings installed in the park have been designed especially for divyangs. In addition, speech therapists, physiotherapists and vocational trainers would also be present in the state-of-the-art park to assist differently-abled&nbsp;children.</p>

<p>"The park has been built keeping in mind safety of differently-abled children," said Rommel Rajain, the head of Security and Corporate Social Responsibility in Reliance Foundation.</p>

<p>"There is a wheelchair accessible trampoline and a merry-go-round. Five&nbsp;types of swings with baskets, a wobbly basket, slides and musical instruments also installed", Rajain added.</p>

<p>The other recreational facilities include trampolines, roller beds, basket spinner, xylophones, drums, wobbly baskets, slides with various tunnels and mounds.</p>

<p>"I believe this is a great initiative," said Mamta Sharma, the Principal at ASHA School.</p>

<p>"The children are very happy and would definitely want to come back here", she added.</p>

<p>The Dera&#39;s chief and self-styled godman, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, was on Friday convicted of raping two of his women followers. The case dates back to 2002.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Ram Rahim was convicted by a CBI court in Panchkula.</p>

<p>His followers, who had been gathering in the town -- Panchkula is a satellite township of Chandigarh -- went on the rampage immediately after the verdict.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Thirty-two people have died in the violence that followed, and over 250 have been injured.&nbsp;</p>

<p>ANI reported that 29 people had died in Panchkula and three in Sirsa.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Army however said that it was not going into the Dera headquarters, and that there was no such plan as of now.&nbsp;</p>

<p>ANI reported earlier on Saturday that another person succumbed to injuries in Sirsa, taking the death toll to three in the district, in the violence that erupted in the states of Haryana and Punjab, shortly after the verdict convicting Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh of rape on Friday.</p>

<p>In addition to this, 29 people died in the violence in Panchkula, six of them from bullet injuries.</p>

<p>Section 144 has been imposed in Panchkula where the verdict was delivered.</p>

<p>Heavy security forces were deployed in the area as well.</p>

<p>The Haryana Police on Friday said that the situation in Panchkula district is under control following the ruckus that took place after the conviction of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh by a Special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Court of Panchkula.</p>

<p>The Deputy General of Police (DGP), BS Sandhu, while addressing the media said, &quot;The situation in Panchkula district is under control. The Haryana Police has been successful to control the crowd after the court verdict was announced.&quot;</p>

<p>In another update, Western Railways have cancelled six trains and partially cancelled two trains in the wake of law and order situation in Punjab and Haryana.</p>

Thirty-two people have died in the violence that followed after Dera chief Ram Rahim was on Friday convicted of raping two of his women followers

<p>The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday filed a chargesheet in connection with the Pathankot airbase terror attack, and named Pakistan-based jihadi group? Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Masood Azhar.</p>

<p>Three other JeM terrorists have also been named in the chargesheet filed in Panchkula special court, reported PTI.</p>

<p>In a pre-dawn attack on January 2, a group of heavily- armed Pakistani terrorists, suspected to be belonging to Jaish-e-Mohammed outfit, struck at the Air Force base in Pathankot.</p>

<p>The evidence is said to include some voice recordings and the cellular phone numbers of the attackers&#39; handlers, which were traced to Pakistan.</p>

<p>The attack occurred just days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a &quot;surprise&quot;&nbsp;visit to Sharif on his birthday on December 25 and the occasion of his granddaughter&#39;s wedding -- a move that appeared to bring the promise of better ties between the two countries in the future.</p>

<p>However, despite the Pathankot visit of the five-member Joint Investigation Team&nbsp;of Pak Punjab government headed by Counter Terrorist Department&#39;s&nbsp; Additional Inspector General of Police,&nbsp;Tahir Rai, no progress has been made in the investigation so far.</p>
