Police said that the&nbsp;woman was&nbsp;57 years old, but didn’t reveal her name.&nbsp;

The baggage room where the woman was found entangled was not publicly accessible, as per Langford, though the authorities did not know how the woman reached there. Scott Allen, a spokesperson for the US Department of Labor, said an official with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) visited the scene and learned the woman was not an airport employee.

Firefighters turned the scene over to police investigators, and Langford had no more details.&nbsp;

The Chicago police department’s communications office, on the other hand, said in an email to the Associated Press that the woman was found unresponsive and pronounced dead on the scene. The investigation is currently underway, the office said.

The police initially said the woman was discovered at 2:27 am (local time), creating confusion about why firefighters and paramedics did not arrive on time. The concerned authorities arrived five hours after the incident.

After checking with the police department about the timing, Langford said that he was told surveillance footage showed the woman walking in the baggage room at 2:27 am (local time), but she was discovered at 7:30 am (local time), prompting a 911 call.

The footage only shows her walking and does not show what happened to her.

Nathaniel Blackman, a police spokesperson, clarified during a phone interview with the Associated Press that no one was watching the surveillance cameras in real-time and investigators reviewed the footage after the woman’s body was discovered.

Chicago's police arrested a passenger for walking on the wing of the plane after opening an emergency exit at the O'Hare International Airport while the airplane was taxiing to the gate.

The shocking incident occurred on United Airlines flight 2478 which took off from San Diego and landed at 5 am according to the flight tracking app FlightAware.

According to a statement from the Chicago Police Department, "A male subject was onboard a plane that was approaching the gate when he pulled the emergency exit and walked out onto the wing of the plane."&nbsp;

The flight's crew was able to safely evacuate the remaining passengers and called the law enforcement after safely deplaning at the gate of the airport.

United Airlines said in a statement, ''Our ground crew stopped the individual outside of the aircraft, and the person is now with law enforcement.'' &nbsp;

"CPD arrived and placed him into custody. Charges are pending," police said.

An Indian-origin California man, Aditya Singh, has been detained for hiding out at Chicago's&nbsp;O'Hare International Airport for nearly three months claiming he was too afraid of getting exposed to the deadly <a href="https://www.wionews.com/topics/coronavirus">coronavirus.</a>

Singh, a 36-year-old man, has now been detained by the local authorities on charges of&nbsp;felony criminal trespass in a restricted area of the airport and&nbsp;misdemeanor theft, as per the prosecutors.

As per the officials, Singh had arrived at the O'Hare airport on October 19 and hid out in the airport's&nbsp;security zone ever since without being found.&nbsp;Cook County Judge Susana Ortiz, who presided over the case, could not register the facts as true, due to the shocking nature of the incident.

"So if I understand you correctly,” Ortiz said, “you’re telling me that an unauthorized, nonemployee individual was allegedly living within a secure part of the O’Hare airport terminal from Oct. 19, 2020, to Jan. 16, 2021, and was not detected? I want to understand you correctly," Ortiz said.

After three months of successful hiding, Singh was caught in the act when two employees of the United Airlines approached and questioned him, demanding his identity card. Singh, slyly, showcased the&nbsp;airport ID badge that he was wearing. This badge was later identified to be of an&nbsp;operations manager, who had reported it to be missing on October 26.

The United Airlines employees, on identifying the incident, informed the police, who then took him into custody within hours from the&nbsp;Terminal 2 near Gate F12 of the airport.

With a master's degree in hospitality, Singh has a clear record and has had no reported criminal incidents, according to the&nbsp;Assistant Public Defender Courtney Smallwood. He has been reported to be unemployed and a current residence of&nbsp;Los Angeles suburb of Orange.

Singh has been asked to pay&nbsp;$1,000 as a release fees and has been put under a permanent 'no entry' list from this airport.

"The court finds these facts and circumstances quite shocking for the alleged period of time that this occurred," Judge Oritz said. "Being in a secured part of the airport under a fake ID badge allegedly, based upon the need for airports to be absolutely secure so that people feel safe to travel, I do find those alleged actions do make him a danger to the community."
