Compton has now revealed that he battled depression over the last five-six years after being left out of the England team.</p>

<p>Compton, while opening up about the illness, said that depression is something that creeps up on you and is not easily understood by you and others while adding that is why it took some time to come to terms and make a transition to a new life.&nbsp;</p>

Compton, while opening up about the illness, said that depression is something that creeps up on you and is not easily understood by you and others while adding that is why it took some time to come to terms and make a transition to a new life. "There always comes a point in one’s career when things can’t be more difficult. And there’s no doubt that when I was left out of the England team, I did struggle with depression over the last 5-6 years. It’s something that creeps up on you, something that’s not easily understood by yourself & others.
