PM Modi at a rally in Gujarat said that Mani Shankar Aiyar had told "people when he visited Pakistan - "remove Modi" from the way and then see what happens to India-Pakistan peace". While Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi demanded an apology from Aiyar to PM Modi, the Prime Minister and several BJP leaders went on to target the Congress veteran in BJP rallies and official events.
