<p>The announcement was made by Guan while addressing an audience during the opening ceremony of this year’s Space Day of China in Hefei, on April 24.</p>

<p>Additionally, a similar amount of&nbsp;lunar soil was presented to French President Emmanuel Macron, earlier this month, during his visit to Beijing.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A French geologist Thomas Smith at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing said this is “proof of the strong friendship and partnership between our two countries” referring to the gift from China to France, reported the SCMP. Notably, he was the first foreign national to receive samples collected during the Chinese mission.</p>

<p>The geologist also noted how the samples collected during the Chinese mission in 2020 were the first ones since the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)’s Apollo and the Soviet Luna missions. “They represent the youngest-ever lunar soils brought back to Earth. Therefore, they are of high scientific value and give insights into the events that happened late in the moon’s history,” said Smith.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Smith, who received some 400 milligrams of the sample and two tiny particles for the study said he used them to measure the concentrations of noble gases such as helium and neon. The geologist also said that he would look at how the moon has been impacted by various cosmic events on the moon over the aeons.</p>

<p>In 2020, CNSA launched its fifth mission of China’s Lunar Exploration Programme called Chang’e 5 which collected a total of 1,731g of lunar samples around 23 days later. After the samples, which are said to be some two billion years old, reached Earth the CNSA announced that lunar soil analysis would be conducted with international cooperation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The recent findings, based on the samples collected during the 2020 mission, indicated that the moon still had active volcanoes two billion years ago which is more recent than previously thought.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Apollo and Luna rocks are said to be somewhere between three and 4.4 billion years old. As of now, researchers in China as well as several countries like Australia, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and so on, are analysing the lunar samples collected.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Kwon Do-hyeong or Do Kwon, the South Korean responsible for the $40bn collapse of the cryptocurrencies terraUSD and Luna, has been arrested in Montenegro, Interpol said on Friday.</p>

<p>The 31-year-old was arrested earlier on Thursday along with another South Korean citizen after his fingerprints matched the official records.</p>

<p>&nbsp;“The person is suspected of being one of the most wanted fugitives, South Korean national Do Kwon, a co-founder and CEO of the Singapore-based Terraform Labs,” Interior Minister Filip Adzic wrote on Twitter.</p>

<p>The minister added that he was travelling under a false name with fake documents. Authorities were waiting for official confirmation of the man's identity, he said.</p>

<p>Both men were intercepted while attempting to board a flight to Dubai using “falsified travel documents from Costa Rica, which was established also by Interpol checks”, the ministry said in a statement.</p>

<p>Kwon&nbsp;was the co-founder and CEO of Terraform Labs – the firm behind the Terra ecosystem coins LUNA and LUNC.&nbsp;In May 2022, both coins lost their value within days, wiping about $40 billion of the investor's wealth and setting off panic across the crypto sector.&nbsp;His Terraform Labs is based in Singapore.</p>

<p>The South Korean fugitive was wanted in the US and in his country. However, whether he will be tried in Korea or US is yet to be determined as Montenegro does not have extradition treaties with either country.</p>

<p>An arrest warrant for Kwon was issued last September by South Korean authorities, who said that his company Terraform Labs violated capital market rules.</p>

<p>Earlier this year, the US regulators accused Kwon and his company of "orchestrating a multi-billion dollar crypto asset securities fraud". He has also been separately charged with fraud by the prosecutors.</p>

<p>Kwon has previously denied he was in hiding but never revealed his location.</p>

<p>'KPOP,' a high-energy multimedia show about Korean pop stars, will transfer to Broadway this fall.</p>

<p>And at New York’s Korean Cultural Center on Wednesday, it was announced that K-pop star Luna will be making her Broadway debut as the star of the show.</p>

<p>“Anyone who has followed my career knows that musical theater has always been a driving passion of mine,” Luna said at the announcement. “Broadway represents the pinnacle of achievement in my profession, so being able to bring my culture to the fans who flock here from all over the world to see a Broadway show is the honor of my life.”</p>

<p>The musical, conceived by Woodshed Collective and Jason Kim, had an off-Broadway run in 2017 at A.R.T./New York, where it was an immersive performance piece that occupied two floors of a building in Hell’s Kitchen. Kim wrote the book, and music and lyrics are by Helen Park and Max Vernon.</p>

<p>“The world we explore in ‘KPOP’ is cutthroat, relentless in its pursuit of perfection, full of passionate, hugely ambitious artists, and ultimately a source of joy,” Park said Wednesday.</p>

<p>The show’s off-Broadway director, Teddy Bergman, and its choreographer, Jennifer Weber, will return for the Broadway production. Previews are to start Oct. 13 at the Circle in the Square Theater; opening night is set for Nov. 20.</p>

<p>Luna began her career in 2009 as the main vocalist and lead dancer of the K-pop girl group f(x) — one of the first groups to cross over into the United States — and went on to establish herself as a musical theater actress. In 2011, the singer, born Park Sun-young, starred as Elle Woods in the South Korean production of “Legally Blonde.”</p>

<p>The same year she also starred as Violet Sanford in a musical adaptation of “Coyote Ugly” in Seoul. Since then, she has had lead roles in “High School Musical on Stage!” (2013), “In the Heights” (2015-16) and “Mamma Mia!” (2019-20).</p>

<p>Now, she’ll be starring in “KPOP.” The producers say that the Broadway version of the show will tell the story of one singer’s internal struggle, which in turn threatens to dismantle one of the biggest labels in the industry. At the same time, a host of international superstars are risking it all for a one-night-only concert.</p>

<p>“For those of you who already know and love K-pop music, this show is going to remind you why you fell in love with it in the first place,” Luna said. “For those of you yet to discover K-pop, get ready. We are going to blow you away.”</p>

<p>The lead producers of the Broadway production of “KPOP” are Tim Forbes and Joey Parnes. The off-Broadway show, which had a sold-out run, was an Ars Nova production in collaboration with Ma-Yi Theater Company and Woodshed Collective.</p>
