<p>The Congress candidate has brought up issues like unemployment, inflation, lack of basic amenities, and local issues on the campaign trail. He has also taken shots at Gadkari saying that only building bridges and metros “do not mean development”.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Thakre has also remained confident that he will be able to sway the voters who have been disenchanted with the BJP’s agenda. “I can guarantee you that my victory will be with a margin of 1 lakh (100,000) votes,” said the Congress candidate.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The race in Chandrapur is the one to watch, with it historically being the battleground for the two major parties in the country – BJP and Congress.&nbsp;</p>
