A lion cub was welcomed to the Singapore Zoo recently and was born through artificial insemination, which is reportedly the first ever for the city-state. The cub is named Simba based on the Disney film “The Lion King”.

Two white lions have been born in the Paphos Zoo in Cyprus. The one and a half week old lion cubs - one boy and one girl - were born to Zeus and Hera, two eight year old white lions that were brought to Cyprus from a zoo in South Africa.
