The doctors scanned the brain of the man and diagnosed him with traumatic encephalocele, which is a condition in which the matter in the brain starts moving through holes in the skull like the nasal cavity.&nbsp;

Generally, encephalocele is a rare birth defect because of which the tissues covering the brain start protruding through openings in the skull.&nbsp;

The man had earlier refused initial treatment for injuries when he had visited the hospital after surviving a car accident.

The man had developed meningoencephalitis two months before he visited the hospital for nasal leakage.

The doctors admitted him to the intensive care unit for one month and carried out an MRI of his brain.&nbsp;

In the scan, they found out that he had a fracture in his skull and had developed an encephalocele in his nasal cavity.&nbsp;

The doctors further saw that the man's brain tissue and meninges, which are layers that protect the spine and brain -&nbsp;were protruding through the skull fracture and there was "significant expansion" in the right-side areas of the brain.

The doctors recommended the man undergo surgery to repair the fracture, however, he refused.&nbsp;

He came back to the hospital after two months and was given the same advice. He finally agreed to the operation in which his tissue and matter were placed back to their locations by a neurosurgeon.

His damaged meninges were also repaired and the base of the skull which was damaged by fracture was also reconstructed using medical-grade cement and glue.&nbsp;

Finally, the patient recovered and was discharged after two days.

The large landmass has the highest ratios of helium-4, and helium-3 as well as a third isotope that has always been present in terrestrial volcanic rocks. It was noted by the research team that it is a big discovery to find such high levels of helium-3 at a terrestrial site. Helium-3, due to its nature, is a very rare element. 
 
As soon as this element reaches the surface, it escapes into the atmosphere and slowly disappears into space. If it is discovered on the surface, the chances are high that it came out of the Earth's core. 
 
If the helium-3 has flown from the Earth's core then the other material around it should also be present to give physical examples of core material. 
 
The findings, which have surfaced recently, could challenge the initial theories about the Earth's core, which was believed to be sealed away. 
 
If it is proved that the Earth's core is indeed leaking, it will pave a path for scientists to study the core material of the Earth, which has never happened before.

Swedish Maritime Authority had raised flag as well at the time of the leaks.

“There are two leaks on Nord Stream 1 – one in Swedish economic zone and one in Danish economic zone. They are very near each other,” a Swedish Maritime Administration (SMA) spokesperson told Reuters. The spokesperson said that the leaks&nbsp;were located northeast of Bornholm, the Danish island.

Authorities in Denmark on Monday (September 26) asked ships to avoid sailing into the five nautical mile radius southeast of Bornholm.

Meanwhile, authorities in Germany were scrambling to find out what caused the sudden drop in pressure in Nord Stream 2. A spokesperson for the pipeline said it is likely a leak. The operator said pressure in the undersea pipeline dropped from 105 to 7 bar overnight.

Kremlin has hinted that it thinks sabotage was the cause of the leak.&nbsp;Asked if sabotage was the reason for the damage, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters: "No option can be ruled out right now."

The European Commission, however, has said that it was premature to speculate on the cause of leaks.

"Obviously any act of sabotage on any infrastructure is something that we we would condemn," EU Commission chief spokesman Eric Mamer told a regular news briefing.

Nord Streams pipelines are designed to bring gas from Western Siberia's Yamal Peninsula directly to Germany, Europe's biggest economy. The pipelines were in focus in the wake of breaking out of Ukraine war. Russia has been leveraging its position as major gas supplier to Europe to retaliate against economic sanctions put by Western countries.&nbsp;Nord Stream 2, which runs almost in parallel to Nord Stream 1, was built in September 2021 but was never launched as Germany refused to certify it. The project was halted altogether just days before Moscow sent its troops into Ukraine on February 24.

Nord Stream leaks: Russia hints at sabotage, EU says premature to speculate

The firm OCP said it had "collected and reinjected 5,300 barrels of crude into the system" since the accident on Friday when heavy rains caused a boulder to fall on the pipeline in a mountainous region.

OCP said the recovered oil amounted to 84 percent of the total that leaked, which would mean around 6,300 barrels. 
The oil was collected in large basins deployed as an emergency measure when there is a leak.

OCP president Jorge Vugdelija said in a statement that the company was using people and machines to "collect traces of crude found in the river."

Around 21,000 square meters of the Cayambe-Coca nature reserve has been affected by the leak.

Crude flowed into the Coca river, one of the largest in Ecuador's part of the Amazon and which serves as a water source for many riverbank communities, including indigenous ones.

"We demand to know... what will be the process of delivering water and food to the communities. It's clear that the river water cannot be used or drunk," the National Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of the Ecuadoran Amazon said on Twitter.

The Cayambe-Coca national park is 4,000 square kilometers (1,544 square miles) of mountains and rainforest in the Amazon basin sitting between 600 and 5,790 meters (1,970 to 19,000 feet) above sea level.

Heavy rains at the end of last week caused landslides and rock falls in the area of Piedra Fina, where the pipeline lies, in the eastern Napo province.

The 485-kilometer-long pipeline straddles four provinces all the way to the Pacific coast in the west, transporting 160,000 barrels of oil a day from wells in the jungle.

In May 2020 a mudslide damaged pipelines in the same area, resulting in 15,000 barrels of oil polluting three Amazon basin rivers, affecting several riverside communities.
