<p>Voting for the Indian general elections 2024, which lasted for over six weeks, concluded on Saturday (Jun 1) with exit polls giving a clear mandate to Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). However, the nation is waiting for some results keenly, including that of Jammu &amp; Kashmir and Ladakh.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This was the first general election in J&amp;K since the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019 and the division of the state into two union territories - J&amp;K and Ladakh.&nbsp;</p>

<p>J&amp;K recorded the highest voter turnout in a Lok Sabha poll in the last 35 years. The Kashmir Valley witnessed a huge 30-point jump in poll participation compared to 2019.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"This active participation is a huge positive for the assembly elections to be held soon so that the democratic process continues to thrive in the Union Territory," said Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He also said that the combined voter turnout at the polling stations for the entire Union Territory with five Lok Sabha seats was 58.46 per cent.&nbsp;</p>

<p>J&amp;K has five Lok Sabha seats and Ladakh has one.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The exit polls have predicted a neck-and-neck fight between the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and the INDIA bloc in J&amp;K.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>India Today - Axis My India exit polls:</strong> It projects&nbsp;three seats for the Jammu &amp; Kashmir National Conference, which is part of the INDI Alliance and two seats for the BJP. It also predicted that Congress is likely to win the Ladakh seat.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>India TV-CNX Exit Poll:</strong> It predicted that BJP would win two-to-three seats in both UTs combined.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>ABP-C Voters: </strong>It has projected INDIA to win zero to two seats in J&amp;K and NDA to win two seats. Others are likely to win two to three seats.&nbsp;</p>
