They were apparently in his neighbourhood and were trying to steal his car when the actor confronted them, early in the morning. Robert’s charge also includes a special circumstance allegation of killing in the commission of a robbery. Frank Olano is the 22-year-old who was arrested for participating.&nbsp;

Grant said that as they walked up to the vehicle, Wactor saw that his car “was jacked up or lifted in some way. He thought he was being towed.” Grand said that Wactor quickly realised “they were definitely not tow truck people.”

Wactor reportedly died saving his female colleague. At the time, Wactor stood in front of her and had his hands raised.

“He did not confront them,” Grant said. “He did not try to stop them. He was just trying to diffuse the situation by stepping back.”

Grand further said that the robbers “weren't expecting anybody to walk up on them, so they got scared. And there's nothing more dangerous than a coward with a gun in his hand.”

Farrell appealed to fans for help to “find these killers.”

“These criminals can’t keep being on the street and they can’t keep being sent back and have no repercussions for their actions,” she added.&nbsp;

“It’s not ok, this can’t keep happening. So many lives are being lost, just us not being smart - we have to be smarter as a community.”

In the video, she also called for tougher laws to tackle crime in Los Angeles.
