Similarly, despite having a formidable side and having a streak of world-class players in&nbspthe lineup, Netherlands could never win FIFA World Cup, which actually they deserved.&nbsp

In 1974, Netherlands played outstanding Football right from the word go and looked invincible but lost in the final.

Bangalore has the similar tale at the IPL. In few editions like in 2008 and 2017, they simply imploded despite having a strong side. In few they were outstanding but just couldn't&nbspcross the last hurdle.&nbsp

In 2016, their run was somewhat reminiscent of Netherland's run in 1974 World Cup. Bangalore in 2016 was a side to beat after first 2-3 weeks. Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Gayle was decimating each and every bowling attack.&nbsp

Kohli scored four centuries in a single edition of IPL in 2016. In final, they lost out in a close match to Hyderabad. As mentioned above, next year in 2017, they had a bad start and after few losses, they seemed to have given up and ended last in the table.

The one thing which must be at the top of to-do-list of Virat Kohli is surely to secure one IPL crown for his franchise. But Kohli must be wondering that how to crack this code and break this jinx. In this edition, they have already lost 3 out of 4 matches so far.

They chased 155 with three balls to spare and for a change it was very much a collective effort rather than the individual brilliance of one or two of their star names.

Bangalore's batting has always been their main strength.&nbsp

With Quinton de Kock, Brendon McCullum, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers comprising the top four, the opposition is bound to be under pressure if one of them hits a purple patch.&nbsp

AB's 40-ball 57 included a devastating onslaught in young Mujeeb Ur Rahman's final over that swung the game in Bangalore's favour.&nbsp

The team has also performed well as a bowling unit in both the games.

Umesh Yadav and Washington Sundar’s inclusion has boosted their chances of doing well in the tournament.&nbsp

The change Bangalore should make is to replace Sarfaraz Khan and bring in Pawan Negi, who could give them more options.

Rajasthan, on the other hand, started the tournament with a mediocre batting performance against Hyderabad.&nbsp

While they put up a decent batting display against DD, D’Arcy Short and Ben Stokes are yet to deliver.

Rajasthan can replace Short with Heinrich Klaasen, who has been in exceptional form and is a good player of spin bowling.

Klaasen is the replacement of Steve Smith, who was banned by Cricket Australia for a period of 12 months following the ball-tampering incident.&nbsp

So overall, it seems Bangalore has sorted their bowling woes while Rajasthan is still trying to find out their best combination.&nbsp

Talking about his strategy for today, Kohli said, "We are gonna have a bowl. I think the crowd thinks the match is decided on the basis of toss."&nbsp

Former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has reportedly sued real estate company Amrapali Group for Rs 150 crores. If media reports are to be believed, the group has not paid Dhoni for several years. In fact, Dhoni was also the brand ambassador of the firm for some years. In 2016, the Chennai skipper stepped down as the brand ambassador of the company after residents of a housing project had started a social media campaign against the real estate group. Dhoni is currently leading Chennai in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In their return to the IPL after two years, the franchise have started off strongly with two wins from two matches. Markets regulator Sebi today decided to make physical settlement of stock derivatives mandatory in a phased or calibrated manner, a move that could bring some much-needed balance between equity cash and derivative segments.&nbsp

The regulator has strengthened the existing entry criteria for introduction of stocks into the derivative segment in line with the increase in market capitalisation since the last revision of the criteria in 2012, Sebi said in the circular.&nbsp

Accordingly, existing criteria like market-wide position limit and median quarter-sigma order size have been revised upward from the current level of Rs 300 crore and Rs 10 lakh, respectively to Rs 500 crore and Rs 25 lakh, respectively.&nbsp

An additional criterion of average daily deliverable' value in the cash market of Rs 10 crore has also been prescribed. The enhanced criteria need to be met for a continuous period of six months.&nbsp

"It has been decided that physical settlement of stock derivatives shall be made mandatory in a phased/calibrated manner," Sebi noted.&nbsp

To begin with, Sebi said that stocks which are currently in derivatives but fail to meet any of the enhanced criteria would be physically settled.&nbsp

However, such stocks would exit the derivative segment if they fail to meet any of the enhanced criteria within one year or fail to meet any of the current existing criteria for a continuous period of three months.&nbsp

Stocks which are currently in derivatives and meet the enhanced criteria would be cash settled. Such stocks if they fail to meet any one of the enhanced criteria for continuous three months will move from cash settlement to physical settlement.&nbsp

After moving to physical settlement if such stock does not meet any of the current existing criteria for a continuous period of three months, then it would exit out of derivatives.

Rajasthan were outclassed and outplayed by Hyderabad in their opening match of IPL 2018. The Ajinkya Rahane-led franchise will now look to register their first win of the season 11 when they face Delhi at their home ground Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Wednesday.&nbsp;

Thereafter, Tamil Nadu moved a contempt plea in the Supreme Court, seeking action against the Centre for allegedly failing to form the CMB within the prescribed time limit of six weeks.

On March 31, the Central Government filed a clarification petition in the apex court seeking more time to form the board and asked whether it could modify its composition.

On a related note, the top court on Monday is slated to hear Tamil Nadu's contempt petition against the Centre for not forming the Cauvery Water Management Board.

IPL 2018: MS Dhoni opts to field against Kolkata

Australian pacer Pat Cummins on Tuesday joined the Indian Premier League's exodus list after he was ruled out of the remaining season due to a back injury.

His departure is a big blow for Mumbai, as the franchise is already reeling under the loss of their first match to Chennai.&nbsp

Cummins, who was bought by the Mumbai for Rs 5.4 crore, joined his Australian teammate Mitchell Starc in the list of injured players who will not take part in the IPL.

The others players who were ruled out in recent days include Kagiso Rabada, Nathan Coulter-Nile and Kedar Jadhav.

Jadhav, who became the last over hero to help Chennai get its first win, suffered a hamstring injury.&nbsp

Cummins has a history of back issues and he went through a busy international season playing 13 consecutive Tests for Australia.

He picked up the injury during the fourth Test between Australia and South Africa.

"Pat experienced some back soreness during the fourth Test in South Africa. Follow-up scans have confirmed that he has bone oedema in his vertebrae," said Australian team physio David Beakley.

"It is important that Pat has time off bowling, to prevent the injury becoming more serious and consequently we have made the decision to rule Pat out of the IPL," he said.

On Cummins' comeback, the physio added: "Pat will now undergo a period of recovery and rehabilitation and we will look to re-scan him in a few weeks to assess the healing.

"Following this we will be in a better position to decide on Pat's return to play timeline including participation in the limited overs tour of the UK."
