However, in the case of&nbsp;Playoffs, the organisers will allot 120 minutes to ensure the match&nbsp;is completed&nbsp;with a fair chance for both sides. If&nbsp;needed&nbsp;the&nbsp;match&nbsp;will be completed&nbsp;with reduced overs and&nbsp;with&nbsp;the use of DLS-method to readjust the targets.&nbsp;

However, if any match&nbsp;does not get&nbsp;completed on the same day,&nbsp;a reserve day will be used&nbsp;to complete the&nbsp;match. The&nbsp;match&nbsp;will&nbsp;be restarted&nbsp;entirely&nbsp;if needed to get a fair result in the contest. The reserve day will be applicable for all four&nbsp;Playoff&nbsp;matches&nbsp;including&nbsp;Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and the final.&nbsp;

<h2>What happens if reserve day also gets washed out?</h2>

In case&nbsp;the reserve day also gets washed&nbsp;out&nbsp;then the team with better league stage performance will advance to the next&nbsp;Playoff&nbsp;contest. There is a provision for Super Over&nbsp;which&nbsp;will be used&nbsp;to determine the&nbsp;winner of the&nbsp;contest, but will only come into use if there is enough time and good playing conditions.&nbsp;

As per IPL playing conditions: "If any of the Final, the Eliminator, Qualifier 1 or Qualifier 2 matches are tied, or there is no result, the following shall apply:&nbsp;

According to the IPL rule book code 16.11.1 the relevant teams shall compete in a Super Over and&nbsp;if&nbsp;necessary&nbsp;further&nbsp;Super Overs to determine which team is the winner of the match in question; and&nbsp;if conditions do not permit a Super&nbsp;Over,&nbsp;or subsequent Super Overs within the time available to determine the&nbsp;winner&nbsp;then according to rule&nbsp;16.11.2 the team which, at the end of the&nbsp;Season, finished in the higher position in the League table will be deemed the winner of the relevant&nbsp;play-off&nbsp;match.

If Qualifier 1&nbsp;is washed out, KKR will enter the final, while SRH will progress to Qualifier 2, where they will face the winner of Eliminator. If the Eliminator&nbsp;is washed out, Rajasthan Royals will move into the Qualifier 2. If the Qualifier 2&nbsp;is washed out,&nbsp;then&nbsp;the second-placed team or the qualifier&nbsp;1&nbsp;loser earns a final spot.&nbsp;If the final&nbsp;also is&nbsp;washed out, then&nbsp;the team that topped the table will be awarded the final match and the trophy.
