The Indian Navy's INS Trikand, deployed on an anti-piracy mission in the Gulf of Aden, successfully thwarted a piracy attempt on the merchant vessel MV Golden Arsenal. MARCOS commandos boarded the ship carrying an Indian crew and critical cargo, while suspected pirates fled as the warship approached. The swift operation highlights the Indian Navy's continued efforts to safeguard vital shipping lanes and ensure maritime security in one of the world's busiest trade routes.

India recently fired its indigenously developed Varunastra torpedo, in the Arabian sea, obliterating its target with pin-point precision. In the past few days itself, India showcased its formidable maritime capabilities conducting combined ops with dual aircraft carriers, ships, submarines and aircraft. It has launched strategic naval assets this week and conducted international maritime drills with the navies of France and UAE recently.
