Speaking to the news agency AFP, one of Khan's lawyers said, ""The court has cancelled the arrest warrant after marking Imran Khan's attendance. The hearing has been adjourned till March 30." With his indictment in the case being delayed, here is a look at the latest developments: > Imran Khan's indictment has been delayed till March 30. > In an audio message outside the judicial complex, Khan alleged that he was waiting outside the court and was not being allowed to enter. > There was chaos at the Islamabad Judicial Complex where PTI supporters pelted stones at police and the cops resorted to firing tear gas shells to disperse the crowd. > The violent clashes resulted in several getting injured. > Before reaching the judicial complex, Imran Khan's convoy met with an accident and the former prime minister was safe. > The PTI also alleged that the Islamabad Police were shelling the convoy of Imran Khan unprovoked. "The aim is to create chaos and prevent Imran Khan from appearing in court," the party tweeted. > Earlier on Saturday, police broke into Khan's residence in Zaman Park in Lahore. Footage from PTI showed police beating and arresting his supporters at the property. > Slamming the police assault at his residence, Khan tweeted, "Meanwhile Punjab police have led an assault on my house in Zaman Park where Bushra Begum is alone. Under what law are they doing this? This is part of the London Plan where commitments were made to bring absconder Nawaz Sharif to power as quid pro quo for agreeing to one appointment." > Meanwhile, Pakistan's Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah told Geo News that police recovered weapons from the premises outside Khan's home. Imran Khan updates: Ex-Pak PM's indictment in Toshakhana case delayed until March 30

Imran Khan is all set to show up in court. The decision defuses a volatile stand-off between Khan's supporters & security forces, who have tried to arrest him for evading the legal proceedings. Khan's decision came after the High Court in the capital Islamabad cancelled an arrest warrant. The court had issued the warrant after the former pm repeatedly failed to attend hearings.

'Nawaz Sharif wants me jailed so I can't take part in elections,' says Imran Khan

Khan is facing charges that he unlawfully sold state gifts given to him by foreign dignitaries when he was pm, from 2018 to 2022. The election commission had found him guilty & barred him from holding public office for one parliamentary term. Khan denies the charges. Attempts by the security forces to arrest khan triggered pitched battles with his supporters earlier this week.

Pakistan: Judge offers to halt ARREST ATTEMPTS if Imran Khan surrenders in court

Protests broke out in Islamabad, Peshawar and Karachi at the call of former Pakistan PM and PTI Chairman Imran Khan as police and party workers continued to clash outside his Zaman Park residence in Lahore.

Massive protest in major cities of Pakistan against Imran Khan's possible arrest

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan accused the "establishment" of planning his arrest, claiming that it's all part of a 'London plan', in a veiled attack against his political foe Nawaz Sharif who has been stationed in London since November 2019. The comments came as tensions skyrocketed in Lahore in the early hours of Wednesday despite Khan's claim that he will appear before the Lahore High Court on March 18.

Khan’s court appearance claim is being seen by the critics as his tactic to evade arrest, as evidence continues to mount against him in the Toshakhana case, an alleged corruption scandal during former Pakistan Prime Minister’s time in office.

In Pakistan, 'the establishment' is referred to the military-intelligence nexus which — despite the South Asian nation's semblance of democracy — is widely perceived to be running the country's state of affairs almost since its inception in 1947. Since being ousted from power after a no-confidence-vote last April, Khan has often referred to the 'establishment' as the forceful power bent to keep him away from Islamabad's corridors of power.

Imran Khan said in a video message that to prevent any untoward event during his political procession in Lahore, he had given a lawful undertaking that he will appear before the Lahore High Court on March 18. The protests broke out in Islamabad, Peshawar, and Karachi after Imran Khan called on his supporters on Wednesday to "come out" following police's use of force on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers in Lahore's Zaman Park. Khan later said that he was mentally prepared to get arrested.

"I am mentally prepared because there's a huge force outside. They have not just the police, they have got rangers there too, which is the army. And it seems as if Pakistan's biggest terrorist is holed up inside," Imran Khan said.

Khan remains the most popular leader in Pakistan, with as many as 61 per cent of the Pakistanis saying in a Gallup survey that they have a 'positive impression' of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan.

"They are petrified of the popularity of my party and so they want to remove me from the electoral contest," Imran Khan said, adding, "according to all opinion polls, we would sweep this upcoming election and that's why they want me removed from the scene."

Since being ousted from power after a no-confidence-vote last April, Khan has often referred to the 'establishment' as the forceful power bent to keep him away from Islamabad's corridors of power. Toshakhana policy: Pakistan bans PM, president, judges from receiving gifts valued over $300

Police in armored vehicles arrived outside the Imran Khan's Zaman Park residence in Lahore on Tuesday, with intentions to arrest the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) party. The police faced stiff resistance from around 400-450 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists outside Khan’s Zaman Park residence.

An Islamabad court on Tuesday suspended till March 16 the non-bailable arrest warrant issued to Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan, who has been accused of threatening a woman judge during a rally.

Senior Civil Judge Rana Mujahid Rahim on Monday issued an arrest warrant while hearing a case related to Khan using threatening language against Additional District and Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry and the Islamabad police officers.

During yesterday’s hearing, Imran’s counsel argued that Khan was ready to join the proceedings through a video link. But judge Rahim rejected their request and instructed the police to produce the former PM before the court by March 29.

Khan’s lawyers then challenged the warrant in the district court, which was taken up by additional sessions judge Faizan Haider Gilani.

On Tuesday, Kahn’s counsel contended that “due to security threat to the life of petitioner, the petitioner could not appear before the learned trial court”.

“In this regard, the security provided by the government has also been withdrawn. Learned counsel for the petitioner sought an adjournment to place on record the letter of the Government of Punjab, whereby, the security provided to the petitioner (former prime minister) was withdrawn,” the court noted, according to Dawn newspaper.
