A student of IIT-Roorkee, Abhijeet Singh Vansia, was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his room on Wednesday. Initial inquiries into the 21-year-old&#39;s death indicate that he may have killed himself as part of an online suicide game, media reports quoted police as saying.

A native of Surat district in Gujarat, Abhijeet was a third-year student of IIT-Roorkee&rsquo;s BTech (biotechnology) programme.&nbsp;

Dean (students&rsquo; welfare) Professor Anand Joshi told a media outlet that Abhijeet&#39;s death has come as a shock to everyone since he seemed happy and showed no symptoms of depression.
