<p>A US woman has sued Hard Rock Cafe &amp; Hotel in the Dominican Republic for half a million dollars after she fell out of a golf&nbsp;cart and injured herself, according to a report in the&nbsp;<em>NY Post</em>.</p>

<p>The woman, identified as Taylor O'Leary, a resident of Brooklyn, New York, said she tumbled out of the buggy whose seat was slippery and wet. The incident took place in July 2022 and resulted in her suffering multiple unspecified injuries, according to a filing in the Brooklyn Federal Court.&nbsp;</p>

<p>O'Leary said she was a guest at the hotel when she got hurt in the accident, which suggests that the&nbsp;hotel and its corporate owner, Hard Rock Cafe International, are liable to pay damages.</p>

<p>The 27-year-old woman was at the Hard Rock Gold Club in Punta Cana whose 18-hole golf course has been designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus. The green fee is listed at $300.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The five-star luxury resort, located alongside the magnificent Macao Beach, routinely hosts the likes of pop icons such as Shakira, Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey who prefer to unwind here.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The incident took place in August 2019&nbsp;when&nbsp;Philana Holmes&nbsp;took her son and daughter to a Tamarac McDonald’s and bought the Happy Meals. When handed the order, she was given no warning that the food might be scalding hot as she immediately passed it along to her daughter and son in the back seat and drove away.</p>

<p>Her daughter, Olivia, an autistic child who was four years old at the time, started screaming and crying after the McNugget fell on her thigh.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Upon pulling up into a nearby parking lot to help the child, Holmes&nbsp;noticed the burn and took photos on her phone, which included audio clips of the child’s screams, which were later presented in the court as evidence.&nbsp;</p>
