India&#39;s first semi-high speed train Gatimaan Express is all set to extend its route to Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.&nbsp;

The North Central Railway recently confirmed that the train will now offer its services up to the Bundelkhand region.

Gatimaan Express was flagged off in April 2016 to cover a total distance of 187 kilometres -- between Delhi and Agra city -- in just 100 minutes. The train, which originally runs between Delhi&rsquo;s Hazrat Nizamuddin and Agra Cantt stations, will now be operated to Gwalior in the first phase.&nbsp;

The train will now cover 306 kilometres in 3 hours 15 minutes.&nbsp;

The service is likely to be extended to Jhansi in its second phase, passengers will reach Jhansi from Delhi in just four and a half hours.&nbsp;

Gatimaan&#39;s new route will come into effect from February 19. The train will leave from platform number five at 8.10 am from Delhi&#39;s Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station.&nbsp;
