In a horrifying incident, two army trainees were brutally attacked along with their women friends in the Indore district of Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday (Sep 10). The incident took place near Jam Gate in the city when an armed group of people attacked the army officers with the intention of looting. The attackers assaulted the group and later gang-raped one of the women.

The MP police have arrested two of the accused so far; one of who was found to have a past criminal record.

The officers were trainees at Mhow Army College and had gone out with the women near the firing range at Chhoti Jam in the afternoon.

The officers and their group of friends were suddenly surrounded by eight men flaunting pistols, knives and sticks. The men beat up the trainee officers and the women before robbing them of their money and other belongings.

The attackers then took one officer and a woman hostage, sending the other officer and a woman to fetch a ransom of Rs 10 lakh. Panicked and worried for their friend’s lives, the other officer hurried back to his unit and informed his commanding officer about the incident, who swiftly alerted the police.&nbsp;

Officers from Dial-100, along with other military personnel rushed to the scene, but till then attackers fled upon seeing the approaching vehicles.

The incident happened under Badgonda police station limits. Station in-charge Lokendra Singh Hirore said the officers, aged 23 and 24, are undergoing a Young Officers (YO) course at the Infantry School in Mhow cantonment town.

All four victims were taken to the Mhow Civil Hospital for medical examination around 6:30 am and doctors said both officers had been injured.

Further medical examination also showed that one of the women was raped, as reported by news agency Press Trust of India (PTI), quoting Lokendra Singh Hirore, in charge of the Badgonda police station.

"A case under (BNS) sections pertaining to loot, dacoity, rape and under the Arms Act has been registered," said Indore Rural SP Hitika Vasal, PTI reported. A manhunt has started for the other criminals involved, the officer said.

Two trainee army officers brutally attacked, woman friend gang-raped in Madhya Pradesh

A 21-year-old American woman was allegedly gang-raped by her “guide” and his accomplice in Pakistan’s Punjab province, prompting condemnation from the US embassy.

According to police, the crime took place on July 17 at a tourist resort Fort Munro in Dera Ghazi Khan district, about 500 kilometres from Lahore.

The victim —a vlogger/social media influencer —was on a trip along with her social media friends Muzamil Sipra and Azan Khosa to make a vlog.

Police said that the American woman had come to Fort Monroe from Karachi after being invited by her social media friend Sipra, whose house she visited on Sunday in Rajanpur district of Punjab.

The woman, who is on a tourist visa to Pakistan, had been living in the country for the past seven months.

The FIR, which is available with WION, states that the victim was staying at a hotel where she was gang-raped by them.

"We stayed in a hotel at Fort Monroe where both suspects gang raped me and also made a video of the act to blackmail me," she alleged in the FIR.

One of the accused, Sipra, has already been arrested by the Border Military Police while raids are being conducted to arrest the other suspect.

Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz has sought a report from the Punjab inspector general of police (IGP) on the Fort Munro incident.

Meanwhile, a US Embassy Spokesperson told WION that it is in contact with the police and is ensuring that the woman is taken care of.

“The protection of US citizens overseas is the highest priority of the U.S. Department of State and our embassies and consulates abroad,” he said.

“Out of respect for the privacy of the alleged victim, we cannot comment on the specifics of the allegation. The U.S. Consulate General in Lahore stands ready to provide consular services to any US citizen who has been a victim of crime,” he added.

American woman gang-raped in Pakistan, US embassy seeks strict action

A 13-year-old girl who was allegedly gang-raped in Rangapani in Guwahati last week succumbed to her injuries on Saturday, reports said.&nbsp;

The girl was admitted to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital and died there.&nbsp;

She was reportedly gang-raped by three locals outside her house on December 14, when her parents were not at home and was left to die.&nbsp;

The 13-year-old was rushed to a nearby healthcare&nbsp;after she was found unconscious the next day.&nbsp;

No charges were initially filed by the family. The police were only intimated once the girl was admitted to the hospital and an FIR was lodged at Sontoli police outpost two days after the incident.

The police are yet to receive a medical report of her condition while the investigation continues. One person has been arrested so far.&nbsp;

The victim&#39;s family reportedly said that she was unable to receive urgent medical treatment as she was from an economically disadvantaged background. Hospital authorities, however, disagreed to the charges.
