At least 30 students of Step by Step School in Noida fell ill after consuming food in the school canteen.

District Magistrate BN Singh has ordered an investigation into the matter.

"We have sent city magistrate, circle officer and food safety officer for investigation. We had received information that 25-30 students fell ill but their number and condition is yet to be confirmed. Officers weren`t allowed access in the school earlier. Currently, we have taken cognizance into the matter," news agency ANI reported Singh as saying.

Step by Step is a school in Noida sector 132 where students are provided breakfast and lunch in the canteen.

According to reports, the principal of the school assured an investigation into the matter.

"Some of the students at our school had mild to severe stomach ache and some also vomited. It is unclear as to the cause of the apparent problem.&nbsp;A team of doctors from Max Hospital was called in immediately to provide medical attention to affected students," the principal said in a statement.

"Parents of those affected have been kept informed and necessary steps are being taken for the well-being of all students. A few students who wanted to go home were sent home safely with their parents," the statement added.

The police have registered an FIR against the school management, ANI report stated.

At least 125 students complained of food poisoning after having snacks at the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Chhattisgarh&#39;s Surajpur district, an official said.

&quot;The Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr B Jai Praksh along with his team visited the area and treated them. The condition of those affected is now normal. Some borewells are located in the vicinity of a pond and that could be the cause of contamination,&quot; an official said.

Around 30 students of a madrassa in the Bhiwandi township here suffered from suspected food poisoning after having a meal at a function, an official said today.

The children were served food at a feast organised by a person at the madrassa on Tuesday afternoon, Bhiwandi&#39;s tehsildar Shashikant Gaikwad said.

The students, all boys aged around 12 to 15, complained of vomiting, nausea, stomachache and giddiness yesterday following which they were rushed to the government-run IGM hospital in Bhiwandi, he said.

Later, as the health of some of the children started deteriorating, all of them were shifted to the Nair Hospital in neighbouring Mumbai, he said.

Gaikwad visited the children at the hospital last night and said they all were out of danger.

An investigation was on into the incident, he added.&nbsp;
