In the 2024 general elections, a total of 107 British-Indian candidates contested for the 680 seats in the House of Commons. In the previous tenure, there were a total of 15 Indian-origin MPs. This number is expected to rise in the current term.&nbsp;

The Labour Party is making constant efforts to rebuild its relationship with the Indian community. They have given more tickets to Indian-origin candidates, in an attempt to expand their reach. The Labour Party plans to adjust its foreign policy to address the issue of British-Indians.&nbsp;

The former prime minister of Britain, Rishi Sunak has retained his seat in Richmond and Northallerton. However, Mr Sunak's Conservative Party conceded defeat during the 2024 UK general elections. "The Labour Party has won this general election. The British people have delivered a sobering verdict tonight, there is much to learn and reflect on." Rishi Sunak said.&nbsp;

Kanishka Narayan&nbsp; 
Kanishka Narayan became Wales' first MP from a minority ethnic background after defeating Alun Cairns. Narayan studied at Oxford, followed by Stanford before he became a civil servant.&nbsp;

Gagan Mohindra belongs to a Hindu-Punjabi family. He has been re-elected from South West Hertfordshire. Mohindra is from the Conservative party and secured 16,458 votes in total.&nbsp;

Suella Braverman&nbsp; 
Suella Braverman is a British-Indian and has secured a seat in the House of Commons from Fareham and Waterlooville.&nbsp;
